    Pat McCormack turns pro tonight.

One of Britain’s best ever amateurs who medalled in each of the big four tournaments.
    - Olympic Games Silver Medalist
    - World Championship Silver Medalist
    - 2x European Championship Silver Medalist
    - Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist

Goes in with Justin Menzie tonight who fought for the Southern Area title last time out, so it seems Probellum are going to move him quick. Should definitely be a career to follow.

If it is the one with the white shirt in the video, then it is not an impressive boxer.

That’ll give you a better impression of Pat’s ability/attributes. I think he’ll adapt to the pro’s well too.

          That’s definitely a stretch.

I think he’ll definitely win Domestic/European honours and has the potential to win a World title. He’s more suited to the pro’s than Campbell who turned pro too late IMO. McCormack possibly has too though and that’s my biggest concern.

Campbell was part of the same amateur team as Groves, Fury etc but turned pro 5 years later than those guys, same story with Ogogo. They left their best days in the amateurs.

Big fan of McCormark and I was not happy he did not turn pro after the 2016 Olympics. His fight against Russell in the WSB before the Olympics was a really good one. McCormark showed how talented he was in that fight.

Hope he gets moved quickly. He will be ready for the big times soon enough! Why did he not sign with Eddie?

Eddie simply doesn’t have the platform in the UK anymore. Luke McCormack and McGrail have also gone to Probellum. Clarke (who Eddie strongly pursued) and Dubois have gone to Boxxer. His last hope is signing Whittaker but it doesn’t exactly look likely.

What is up with Whiitaker? I know he is with AJ's management team and most assumed he would sign with Eddie, but is that not the case anymore? It may actually make more sense for him to be on Sky Sports to start his career to have a larger audience?

I think he’ll go to Sky. Clarke also signed with 258 MGT and ended up with Shalom. Sky is simply the best platform for these prospects to develop a fan base because of the reach it has in regards to viewership.

The only advantage Eddie has is he has guys like Buatsi, Smith, Richards who could be viable options in the future, but you’re talking 2-3 years down the line minimum so will any of those guys still be boxing? I know Smith probably won’t be.
