Don't even understand what your point is. I'm not straddling anything.
1) I don't follow fighters for "0s". I follow them because they are entertaining or because they dare to be great.
2) you asked if I'd rather be a fighter with "Ls" or undefeated...I'd rather be a fighter that challenged myself.
You like pretty records. Duly noted.

Because undefeated fighters ''ain't never fought no one.''

Hard to feel sorry for grown folks making grown folk decisions. It’s so sad to see fighters fighting for peanuts and then having seeing their skills deteriorated to a point that even the trainers are in denial. I just hope he has other things to fall back on, the investment of putting so much into boxing in hopes of making it big are probably the biggest gamble of all things. If I could do it all over again myself, I would have done it different although I was blessed to be able use my God given talent to be successful it has been nothing but grace that has allowed me to be in my position but boxing is a long shot, a very long shot I may say!
Boxers are not the only athlete to squander their riches. Sure, they usually start out making peanuts (compared to fast food workers ?).
If a person is smart/talented enough, they will find a career/job that doesn't pay peanuts.
What is sad, imho, are fighters who can't stay away and boxing can't tell a person they can no longer be boxers if they pass medicals.
At a certain point in a losers life, they will get comfortable with eating L's as long as they get paid. It's no longer about winning.
''$500k (before taxes and expenses) for 36 minutes or less ?!?!?''
What else are they going to do ?Comment

You missed the whole point but it could be due to a lack of education but you differently didn’t get my point. Many fighters not making close to 500K for 36 minutes or less either. If he clears 50K I will be amazed. I was simply saying this is the one sport where guys do nothing but box and hope they make it big, while not pursuing other things where they could be successful or better off financially had they put this type of effort into something else. Also no matter how good you think you are certain things have to fall in place properly as well, so enjoy the ride and follow your heart but have other plans as well. Get it now!
