Listen Ryan and listen Honestly. Canelo is the DEFINITION of DEDICATION. Don’t fool yourself. For most people, HONESTLY is a bad word. Don’t be typical. Listen to him. He’s not your enemy. Be honest with yourself. This game may not be your destiny.

This is where 2 cultures collide. Ryan comes from a culture that puts great store on showing emotion, valuing that. When he said he was in the gym in floods of tears I'm sure a lot of young Americans, even if they weren't that big boxing fans, said 'Oh God, Ryan, you're so brave & so right. We need to 'open up''. That actually doesn't mesh well with boxing culture which tends to emphasise (& definitely not empathise) mental as well as physical toughness & a view that men don't cry, or really show any much emotion. I don't know anything like enough about human brains or behaviour to hazard a bet on which of those 2 philosophies of life is better, but I can say they are totally incompatible & Ryan attempting to straddle both can only end badly.

Ryan is holding something back, he said it before. Just a matter of time before we hear the dirt of what goes on in that gym. I hope Canelo fires back so Ryan has to let the cat out of the bag.

“I’m a strong, maniac training machine that I’ll figure out to get this **** down. Like, Michael Jordan, all that, that’s me. Canelo Alvarez, Ryan Garcia, that’s me. Floyd Mayweather, that’s me. I’m that person. It’s crazy for him to say that.”
You're Ryan Garcia, you've had one decent win & a bunch of easy touches. You're not Michael Jordan, you're not Canelo & you sure as s""" aren't Floyd. In case there is any doubt, you aren't Shane Warne either. You need to spend a lot more time training, a lot less time on social media & no time at all on comparing yourself to legends, because that can only be embarrassing.dannnnn likes this.

"Garcia said the pivotal incident was when he walked into Alvarez’s gym last year and found himself unable to continue with his workout after 20 minutes. He recalls breaking down in tears and having to leave. Alvarez was there, a witness to the whole event, Garcia said."
Ryan Garcia is just another example of how kids are growing up soft these days. Social media is a helluva drug.
Canelo is/was your training partner and, presumably, buddy. He's not your mother or some kind of babysitter. What, did you think he and Eddy were gonna come running to wipe away your tears and comfort you while Andy Ruiz breastfeeds? Come on man...

Ryan is just too sensitive. How can he have daddy issues about Canelo? Hope he can sort it out cause he seems to have some rare and exciting natural gifts you don't see often. Very frustrating watching his career.

Garcia said nobody worked harder at the gym than him, including Alvarez,
