Yep. It's unanimous that Canelo is the #1 P4P fighter on the planet.

If Canelo cleans out 175 hrs an ATG imo.

Idk man, he only picks fight he has no chance of losing. That’s why he ducked Charlo, Andrade,Benavidez,Beterbeiv, Briedis and Okolie. Those are the fights fans want to see. No more of this Fielding, Yildirim and Bivols of the world bullshyte

Meh, he ducked prime Beterbiev and is obviously aging him out.

Are we talking popularity, a gym overflowing with pharmacy products, and a nationalistic fanbase that literally called Lara's wife on the phone after the fight or the complex, skilled fighter with no controversy and solid accolades? Obviously, we need to redefine P4P or have 2 lists.

In Even Steven P4P matchups, I see Crawford and former 200 Usyk smoking the current fraud.

If somebody ranked Canelo Alvarez as pound for pound number 1? I would have no issues.

But today's era is way below par, so really I don't think this ranking has much prestige. The Middle Weight to Light Heavyweight divisions are below par.

On pure ability and feats of achievement, I don't think Alvarez has achieved anything on the level of Olekander Usyk's win over Anthony Joshua.

Alvarez was weight draining himself at welter-weight and 160 pounds to be the big man. Only really now at 168-175 pounds is he facing fighters while no longer being the big man.

But in terms of popularity, and his activity levels. I think people have to rate Alvarez as pound for pound number 1.

Plus he is exposing the level of this era. Fighters like Billy Joe Saunders, Caleb Plant, The Smiths, Fielding, those guys would of been destroyed by Carl Froch & Joe Calzaghe.

Alvarez since leaving the Welter Weight divisions, only has 1 elite level win 'Golovkin'.

Maybe his next fight is elite level, but there on after that? Mugabi is not elite level.

not for me, he lost too wide to mayweather, a fighter who had over 40 fights and can get made to look like a complete bum against someone can never be considered p4p number 1

"Canelo is waiting for Beterbiev to get old!".

As if it's Canelo's fault Beterbiev stayed in the amateurs too long (Didn't turn pro until he was 28) and has been badly mismanaged.
