The number of Canelo naysayers makes me laugh

He fought GGG twice, Lara, Trout, Plant, Kovelev, Mayweather, Smith Brothers, Jacobs, Saunders, Chavez Jr, Cotto, and many others. To me, he doesn't have seemed to have ducked anyone.

Most of them were either 35+ or average fighters with no punch, plus he rarely dominates anyone half decent, the fights are almost always competitive and close. Very deceptive resume.

Because he doesn’t want to face the best period. He’s scared of Charlo, Benavidez, Andrade, Briedis, Okolie and Beterbiev that’s the fights the fans want to see! No one wants to see him fight the Fielding and Yildirims and Bivols of the world anymore.

Hes not without faults but overall boxing would be far, far worse off without him. Hes been boxings MVP for years now. Major star, great fighter, and consistently fights good opposition.

Same arguments over and over. What makes Charlo, Andrade and Benavidez the best? Are you also calling out those three fighters for not wanting to fight, forget better competition at their current weight class, but 2 and 3 weight classes above them?

If Canelo's career choices bother you that much, stop following his career, stop posting about him, move on and stick to watching the high quality fights you get from Andrade and Charlo.

He did duck GGG for a couple of years. Even dropped the WBC belt when GGG was his mandatory and ran out of the division. Openly had a public hissy fit about the WBC making GGG his Mando

He only fought GGG after he started showing signs of decline and the public demand was getting too much.

The first fight showed why he was ducking him, it was a clear GGG win even though he wasn’t prime anymore. Let’s not forget Canelo obviously still wasn’t confident of beating GGG as he was caught juicing for the original rematch date before serving a ban.

Apart from ducking GGG for a few years, and juicing before the first scheduled rematch, it’s hard to really knock his resume though. He really has fought a lot of very good fighters. He’s activity in recent years and willingness to fight champions should be an example to boxers.

When nel o retire s a bivol win will be tremendous. A Josh or fury win would be even better, as would a usyk win.
So people criticised nel o as they think there are tougher fighters than bivol? But how do they know if they not beat bivol?

idk man, Bivol is a nobody. 90% of boxing fans don't even know he exists. Charlo and Benavidez is the fight to make.

he fights crappy champions while avoiding the best fighters in the division. Its pretty obvious unless your a blind fan boy. WBC has been protecting him also, like making Yildrum his mandatory for davids belt despite losing his previous fight to dirrell lol. David should have been his mandatory.
