This is a good experiment to do by showtime. Having fights for “free” before the ppv card starts allow you to hype up the main card and try to convince viewers who are on the fence about purchasing the ppv.

my concern is, they have 2 out of the 3 top fights for free. Should’ve moved the stanoinis fight as the co feature, and move gamboa old aszs to the free portion. Gamboa V pitbull is not moving the needle for those on the fence of purchasing the ppv.

None of the undercard fights are going to move the needle but Cruz is more known after the Tank fight than both Stanionis/Butaev.

maybe not Cruz, but the Rayo- Vargas or Crowley-Lopez fights are not better than Lee-Ochoa or Stanoanis fight. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. Free or ppv, I’m happy to be getting these fights. Just saying, as far as convincing people to purchase the ppv portion, both free fights would’ve had a bigger impact

Once again, no one buying the PPV was going to buy it because Stanionis/Butaev was the co-main over Cruz/Gamboa. In terms of name value, Cruz is above those guys because of the Tank fight.
