Very few and I mean VERY few people buy cards because of the undercard. The ones buying this card will be purchasing it for Spence/Ugas. Stanionis/Butaev are largely unknown fighters.
You're probably right. But, speaking for myself, I need to see 2-3 quality fights if I'm going to shell out PPV $. Even though Thurman vs Barrios wasn't PPV worthy, if they had 2 other really good fights on that card I probably would have bought it, since I'm a big Thurman fan.

      Absolutely.

Notice Top rank has been copying pbc with the the hip hop entrances and now pbc is stealing from espn with this.

I’m fine with both because it’s more entertaining for me as a fan.

Now if they just make fight together. Lol.

It's not going to have great ratings but for the hardcore fans they would certainly enjoy it.
I agree. More boxing content available is better. I always recorded the SHO Extreme prelim fights, sometimes I'd watch them a few days later when nothing else was on.

DAZN seems to have cut back on the full card recently (at least for some of the fights in the US). IIRC, I saw a few DAZN cards that only had like 4 matchups being aired.

I agree with that too like I said I rather enjoy binge watching boxing and with things like Sho extreme it probably would help sell a few more PPV if they promote the main card the right way during the broadcast

I thought showtime “is going to be out of the boxing business”?

I'm hoping 24-0, 22 KO's Brundun Lee gets promoted heavy this year. That kid can box AND ****. Still only 22 years old so there's plenty time but he needs to be active and televised on major cards more.

The sheer amount of "You know"s that the author felt the need to quote Stephen on and share with us all is very impressive. You know.

You would be in the minority there.

I don't see an issue with those fights being on regular SHO before the PPV. Maybe some watching that fight may be inclined to purchase the PPV.

They just stopped doing that and it made no sense. Fighters like Spence used to get some SHO Extreme fights. Wish they would bring it back, or stream those fights on SHO's youtube channel.
