It would have been sensible in his part if he made that accusation and showed some sort of paper work that his statements are not false. Anyway fighters are tested before a fight and this are all public records that can be available through Nevada State Commission..
Now if his purpose is to play mind games and talk trash then there are many ways that this can be done.. Call him a bum, criticized his previous fights, make fun of his style. Anyway he was already doin' that. But what he did was low and totally out of class even for him...Not to mention damaging to ones professionLast edited by mikemurni; 09-15-2009, 12:24 PM.Comment

First off, it was Senior who opened his trap and made that accusation so he should be the one answering those questions first. The burden of proof is on Floyd Sr. who made the accusation so let him speak first and show his proof and not just making stuff out in the open.

Mike,
It doesn't work that way. Slander and libel are civil cases, and your statement indicates that you don't have a deep understanding of the tort process.
Turn on the news and open a newspaper. You will see people speculating every day on a whole range of issues. Read any op-Ed column. There would be suits ad infinitum if every statement that was derogatory was considered sladerous.
And, additionally, what would Manny's recompense be? How did Manny suffer (in dollars) from that statement? The "burden of proof" would actually be on MP to show that he was measurably damaged by that statement, and to show HOW and HOW MUCH he lost.Comment

You guys wish he was on steroids. You just dont see greatness even if its staring you in the face.
Seriously, this is serious allegations from this crackhead.. Calling him a bum is one thing, but making accusations that could prove damaging to one's fighter's career is another. Maybe Top Rank can sue his ass for slander seeing that statement can be deemed as damaging and a defamation of ones character.Comment

And Bobby Pacquiao and a bunch of others. God forbid they start asking him about his own medicine cabinet.Comment
