We aren’t having a high school debate, are we? “Go on I dare you”, really?
The haters keep saying that Canelo is ducking Charlo and Andrade. Both guys have called Canelo out and both are willing to move to 168.
Benavidez meanwhile, has lost his title twice (on the scale and *******) so if he wants to clear a sure straight path for Canelo to really have no choice but to face him, he should take on either Andrade or Charlo or Beterbiev. Canelo will literally have zero excuses and will be forced to fight Benavidez.
You and I both know that if Canelo beats Benavidez, haters will still accuse him of ducking the two aforementioned guys. These guys need to start fighting each other too. They’re all waiting for the Canelo lottery.
I’m not sure why you keep repeating the Benavidez dominating Plant argument. So what? Marquez destroyed PAC three years after Floyd beat him up like a piñata so what does that tell you?
I have no idea who Ryder is and if Canelo fights him then I’d call that a cherry pick. Just because I like Canelo doesn’t mean I’ll defend dubious fights.
the notion the 2 time 168 champ who is unbeaten and ranked 1, needs to beat up a couple of 160s to deserve a shot at the 168 champ is illogical and ******, and just an invention by canelo fan boys. Benavidez was the man to beat in that division since 2019, and Canelo has not faced him. He can have all the belts he wants but he has not cleaned out the division until he fights Benavidez.
The fact that Hearn is deciding between Ryder and Makibu for december and not Benavidez just totaly destroys the 'what has he done' argument. Ryder is a legit gate keeper.Last edited by Oracle01; 03-14-2022, 11:13 PM.Comment

So how did all the belt holders at 168 end up with titles and got to fight Canelo while Benavidez is stuck with gatekeepers?
More important, do you think Lemiux is a pushover? Lemiux can punch. He ain’t a soft touch for Benavidez so humor me please, what if Lemiux KO’s Benavidez, what happens to your argument?

They all got lucky really. Especially Canelo who begged for Davids title a week after he lost it on the scales. David is still the lineal WBC champ. If he loses to lemuix obviously its gg for him, but he won't. Canelo had the softest path to unify in probably boxing history. All average fighters who couldnt even punch.Comment

So 3 guys got lucky in winning titles then got lucky again in getting a fight with Canelo BUT Benavidez just got unlucky?
Ok, I’m going to move away from splitting hairs and how Canelo’s path to unifying a division was paved with luck and soft touches to the simple question - do you think Benavidez is the best fighter at 168 and does he beat Canelo if they fight?

David has been the best fighter at 168 since 2018, and anyone with any boxing intelligence knew this. If he fights Canelo he not only beats him he stops him.———

You don’t need to add that condescending comment.
I don’t agree with your sentiments but his style can be a problem for a pure boxer like Canelo. But like I said before, assuming Canelo is ducking him, he has to eliminate guys that are calling Canelo out. In the end Canelo cannot hide.
