His footwork, speed and talent places him there alone. I’m not saying Benevidez won’t beat him. He’s talented sure. However, people are in love with his power and fail to spot his glaring weaknesses. He loops his shots (prime for elite counter punchers), leaves his body wide open, fights flat footed, isn’t the fastest in the division. One of my favorite boxers was in love with his power too; Mike Tyson. When someone that is drunken with their power has to face someone that can take their shots with ease (Canelo) they typically don’t have a plan B. Forget the fact of people that can take their shots but are also equal in power (Canelo again). By the time they figure that out it’s game over. Plant definitely has a chance in this fight; no question. He is faster, better on his feet. Where David has him is power no question about that. Let’s see what happens with David when he swings at air for a large number of rounds. It’ll be a good fight.
Now that's how you debate, without name calling. Respect.

Canelo has done boxing a big favor…with his services been directed else where, all these bums sitting around for his payday now have no choice but to start fighting each other. First is Charlo v Munguia, then Benavidez v Plant. Too bad Plant got that payday doing absolutely nothing

Indeed, looking forward to see how the Charlo, Andrade, Benavidez, Munguia conundrum settles down in the next 6-18 months...
Funny how Charlo would not even consider 7 mil for Andrade but after Canelo has spoken, he's willing to do business with Munguia.

I lean forward more to Benavidez stopping Plant before 11th but this is boxing, like I said I also think Benavidez doesn't have a better left hook than Canelo and that philly shell is very hard to break unless you got a killer hook like Canelo.

I rate Plant above everything Benavidez has fought in his career and I also think Plant's experience against Canelo will help him a lot on this fight.

Need to focus on Lemieux first honestly

Now I do expect Benavidez to beat and stop Lemieux but Lemieux can punch so he does have a puncher's chance. So yeah Focus on Lemieux and get that done FIRST!

                A “more convincing way”???

Devon Alexander easily beat Maidana therefore, according to you, Devon beats Mayweather.
Marquez KO’d PAC therefore he beats Mayweather too.

                Donyou see that logic?
Benavidez can beat Plant, and he still gets to chase Canelo but if he gets beat, that’s the end of him.

Why can’t Benavidez fight Andrade or Charlo so he can line up Canelo next?

This is a legit response and I agree with you. That said, Benevidez losing to Plant wipes any chance of a fight with Canelo. This I’m sure you understand.
And it’s that reason why Benavidez is fighting guys like Lemiux instead of going the other guys that are calling Canelo out (Andrade and Charlo and even Beterbiev).

This is how he proves Canelo is ducking him.

they need to move up to 168 to fight him so why havent they? why does benavidez need to beat 160 fighters to fight canelo at 168 ? lol

Yes a more convincing way meaning dominating him and not making it a competitive close fight like it was with canelo.

why is hearn even talking about ryder in december? are you going to argue he has earned the canelo fight more than benavidez? go on i dare you.

We aren’t having a high school debate, are we? “Go on I dare you”, really?
The haters keep saying that Canelo is ducking Charlo and Andrade. Both guys have called Canelo out and both are willing to move to 168.
Benavidez meanwhile, has lost his title twice (on the scale and *******) so if he wants to clear a sure straight path for Canelo to really have no choice but to face him, he should take on either Andrade or Charlo or Beterbiev. Canelo will literally have zero excuses and will be forced to fight Benavidez.

You and I both know that if Canelo beats Benavidez, haters will still accuse him of ducking the two aforementioned guys. These guys need to start fighting each other too. They’re all waiting for the Canelo lottery.

I’m not sure why you keep repeating the Benavidez dominating Plant argument. So what? Marquez destroyed PAC three years after Floyd beat him up like a piņata so what does that tell you?

I have no idea who Ryder is and if Canelo fights him then I’d call that a cherry pick. Just because I like Canelo doesn’t mean I’ll defend dubious fights.
