Thought you all said triangle theories don’t apply in boxing.

Stop with this "taking sides bs", both Benavidez and Plant are top 4 SMW's, this is what boxing needs the best fighting the best if Canelo is booked this fight makes perfect sense, to be honest from my perspective i can see Benavidez stopping Plant before round 11 but I also can see Plant going the full 12, it's a great fight and the only thing we should be talking about is about wanting it to get done plus discussing the possible outcome based on styles.

Also very hyped if CharoMunguia gets done, great style matchup.

I was responding to someone else taking sides. Go watch the Plant vs Uzcategui if you think he will survive vs Benavidez. He was totally gassed out by round 9 and got beat up by the end, and Uzcategui is like a C grade Benavidez.

Glad to see his dad involved in the biz, that should stop the "side deals" from going down on this kid...

Some fans are never happy. This is a good 50/50 fight. It’s pathetic to see these casuals who think one loss makes you an exposed hype job.

I'd rather see Benavidez vs Dirrell in a rematch. Dirrell started to outbox Benavidez in their first encounter. If it wasn't for a cut stoppage, I was expecting that fight to go to the scorecards.....where a decision would have been up for grabs. Dirrell and Benavidez are both calling for Canelo. I would like to see them fight each other, with the winner getting Canelo.

But Plant is done. Let him fight Saunders - another pretender.
Plant is done? and Dirrell isn't ? how old is inactive Dirrell now?

Benavidez is hoping to fight Plant, because he knows he'll get the knockout (probably in more spectacular fashion than Canelo did), that it will be a nice name to put on his resume, and Benavidez would be able to use a ko over Plant to entice Canelo into facing him. It's a smart strategy, but a predictable fight. Plant has a boxer's chance, but I don't think he can handle Benavidez's power...or relentless activity.
it would be a nice name to put on his resume - but that doesn't make it a bad fight or even a predictable outcome - yes, its a predictable fight - Benavidez tries to wear down Plant and get a tko/ko - Plant tries to keep distance and out box Benavidez - juries out - let them fight - quality matchup!

Plant is going to chicken out like he has done for many years. He is scared of Benavidez.

He's around 40, but he won his last bout by ko on a recent ppv. A boxer that can box and has power always has more longevity. Just look at Nonito Donaire. Dirrell has power and can box. Plant does not. His shelf life at the top is limited. I honestly believe he's another ko from being done.

Great post people on here kill me a guy who's only loss is to the P4P #1 fighter in the world is a total loss somehow. There will be people who scream about who Plant fought before he lost to Canelo but its speculation until he loses to anybody not named Canelo. I'd personally be proud to say the only guy that beat me in the ring just so happens to be the best in the world right now.
