Since the dawn of the super HW the competition is less than it was, they not that good they just big.

If you go back to Louis Ali Norton Foreman Frazier era the atg LHs that tried to win a HW title were getting blown out, today great LHs can go on and beat today's physical monsters as Holyfield did, that couldn't happen back in the day because HWs were nearly as fast, today the sheer size it the hammer not skills or boxing ability, size.

Seeing as the size of the HWs today are huge 6'5" 260+ pounds and up and the numbers of this size in society is a lower number of people, what happens is the overall quality gets less and the few standouts dominate, the result is you still get the titles but they don't mean sht if you beat not much, when people argue the merits of great fighters its always gets down to who they beat, not today with HWs its about what titles they won, no great wins over greats just titles won from average fighters.

The Klitschkos Fury Wilder etc are all average fighters just the best of their bunch which is overall terrible with massive size differences, if they were WWs or MWs they would all get blown out, I rarely watch HWs at all these days the majority just don't have the boxing ability I like to see.

Frazier, Liston,Foreman Norton, Terrell, Ellis, and Quarry were technically nothing special when compared to 00s 010s fighters.

I think the 70s guys were better technically on average, and had better fitness. But from 80s/90s onwards I feel like the average size of HWs increased and they all started being roided to shyt.

These guys look much more amateurish than the Klitschkos, besides, form, "techniques" whatever you name it, these guys are not all that impressive and at times look really bad.

What separated ali from the others in his generation was his speed, the moment it left you could really see how bad of a boxer he was.
