How can a fight be competative if one guy "stands no chance" to win? Crawford is damn near my favorite fighter, but Jermell is an absolute handful for anyone at '54, not to mention a Welterweight who still hasn't been able to test himself against the best 147 pounders in the world.

Not sure about that. Who's Tank fighting? All the big names?

It's weird how these things happen in boxing. It's different than other sports: skills are necessary, but seemingly not as important as personality and promoter. There are boxers with big skills and few willing opponents and boxers with debatable skills but lots of cherry pick fights. It makes perfect sense if you look through business goggles, but it stinks for boxing fans.

If Crawford really believes he can beat Spence then he should bite the bullet and accept 40/60 split with no "rematch" clause. If Crawford wins spence will feel compelled to avenge his lost. This is when Crawford will squarely be in the driver's seat with all the leverage and could possibly get a 65/35 split in a rematch

People have clear wins in competitive fights bro. Having no chance doesn't necessarily mean it can't be competitive

Tank is fighting another PBC fighter, just like his last fight, and the fight before that, and the fight before that! You get the picture!

Floyd Mayweather Says Terence Crawford Is P-4-P #1 Today; Wants To Work With Him
November 26, 2021 by James Slater

Look at most pound-for-pound lists, and right now, you will likely see Canelo Alvarez sitting on the top of the pile. And rightly so, Canelo has done so much, winning world titles at four weights, unifying the 168-pound division, consistently taking on the best fighters.

But Floyd Mayweather, who once ruled supreme as the pound-for-pound best himself, says Terence Crawford is the man.

Not only does “Money” feel Crawford, a three-weight champ and the current welterweight #1 (it’s up to Errol Spence to prove otherwise) is the best, he also wants to work with Crawford, “because I know what I can do to take him to that next level.” Speaking with Fight Hype, Mayweather had nothing but great things to say about the 38-0 Crawford.

“The pound-for-pound fighter right now is Terence Crawford,” Mayweather stated. “Everything about life is about time and patience. And Crawford, I just truly believe that he doesn’t have to be under my company for me to give him praise; I am not like that. If he is ever a free agent and he would like to go to any company, I would love to work with him. Because I know what I can do to take him to that next level as he has a lot of raw talent, and he is a hell of a fighter.

Look at most pound-for-pound lists, and right now, you will likely see Canelo Alvarez sitting on the top of the pile. And rightly so, Canelo has done so much,

Should be a 50/50 split if they fight, but Charlo is about flashing that $ and soaking up the adoration of his crew..This is talk to make us forget the court case.

Imagine the ego implosion if Charlo looses to Crawford.. Lions don't waste time talking about who they won't fight..
Only a true moron thinks 50/50 is fair. Spence will have 3 belts, way more known and bigger draw. In no universe with common sense does Crawford get 50/50. 70/30 Spence is being generous to Crawford. His own promoter admitted to losing money off him ffs! His ppv #'s were trash.

First of all, that is correct. I am an Errol Spence fan as well as a Terence Crawford fan with the uncanny ability of calling it right down the middle.

You are right. There have never been no negotiations between the two thus far except through the media.

However, judging by their preliminary negotiations through the press; Terence Crawford has said that a 60/40 split in Spence”s favor was unacceptable.

He wants at least a 50/50 purse split or even greater in his favor and the PBC have said never. So in that Sense Charlo is right.

Bud does need to humble himself and become more realistic in order for this fight to happen.

Bro, you don't use "uncanny" when you describe yourself. You use it to describe others or something. It's for others to decide whether what you do or able to do is "uncanny." If this is the first time you have use the word, it's okay.

I’m not hating on bud I’m stating a fact… that fact is he did himself a disservice back when he re-signed with top rank he and everyone knew that most of the top names in the welterweight division we’re with Haymon and PBC… all he had to do was sign with Haymon a few years earlier and his dumbass wouldn’t be in the situation he is in now…. The rest of my statement is just elaboration of another example of why I believe he phucked himself… hope I make a bit more sense now… my bad

When did Crawford last re-sign with TR. Do the people who repeat this know? When was his contract up, if he hadn't signed the extension?
