cant argue with this though....
” Charlo told Brian Custer on The Last Stand Podcast. “Shut up, take a little bit less money, be quiet, humble yourself, and fight Errol Spence, he a stud. Do what he say, and you might [get the fight].Comment

All these fights should be 50/50 imo. Errol Spence may put a few more hardcore boxing fans in the seats but in the grand scheme of things, nobody knows these guys they should just let both names and their fighting sprit be the attraction and stop thinking they are. Times a wastin'

I'm confused on why Crawford is consistently judged on just his WW resume. That is like saying Spences 154lb resume is trash or Canelo's 147lb resume is trash. A resume is a body of work and it is easy for me to pick one thing on it and say it is bad. If you single out his "WW resume", then his first 6 fights are better than any other Current WW first 6 fights.Comment

Jermell has a point here. It seems that Crawford only wants to fight Spence for the money and Spence wants to fight Crawford for the undisputed welterweight crown. It does not appear that 'Bud' is concerned with being undisputed all that much.
All he wants is a bigger pay check and he believes that Errol Spence is his best chance of receiving it. Otherwise, why would he spend all of this energy on purse splits and percentages? All Spence ever wanted was to fight.
Crawford wants to fight too but only on own terms. If he wants the fight badly enough then he would accept any offer that Errol is offering him. The hold out is Terence Crawford not Errol Spence. He's pricing himself out of the fight.Comment

Bottom line, the sport is in bad shape like it's always been, but like in all sports athletes are becoming more business savvy and will not let promoters rob them blind. Especially since they don't promote anymore and just coordinate events. Boxers are now expected to handle the marketing.. Aarum didn't even make the last Crawford fight available to most fans. No way to buy the fight.. Canadian fans complained that they had zero options to buy the fight and i can comfirm this..
If Ugas can find a way to beat Spence, then we'll see a unification followed by the winner of Ugas vs Crawford vs Ortiz and Ennis.
Outside of that, those 2 would have to become mandatories and get the usual split...Comment

As a fan you'd have every right and may as well go forward with it. The business model for boxing tells me that Thurman would generate a higher purse/payday. That's what dictates things once guys are close to a title shot or have belts like Crawford and Spence. There is no pension, health plan or promotions in boxing. If that's your career, either you max out the $ or walk away with a lifetime of medical bills, broke with no marketable skills other than training folks to put food on the table.
