Yes he is. Being a 'monster puncher' does not necessarily mean you have to be a Beterbiev or a Tyson or an Inoue. You can see the way opponents react when he hits, you can feel the thudding punches through the TV. Just because he doesn't always have one hit KOs does not mean he isn't a monster puncher.

Carl Froch would stop Canelo Alvarez.

Froch has a better jab, better movement, greater endurance, greater durability and probably has greater punching power.

Alvarez most likely has a superior tactical mind, better punch combinations, greater single punch speed, and a better defense on the inside.

But none of that will be enough to deal with the bombardment Froch would put Alvarez under.

I am not ignorant or discrediting Alvarez. He is one of the greatest fighters of this era. If somebody ranked him as pound or pound number 1? I would have no issue with that. I just don't really rate his opponents very highly, this era is below par etc.

Sitting on your punches means when your flat footed, and throw a shot vs somebody who is moving backyards or to the side and throwing shots. If you get what I mean
