He is not a monster puncher. Just be honest with yourself.

Do you really think Caleb Plant & Billy Joe Saunders would survived vs Carl Froch?

The point that I am trying to make is? There have been many other middle-weight fighters who would have also sparked out Alvarez's recent opponents.

Canelo Alvarez is a solid puncher, with supreme technique. I doubt his opponents are petrified of his power 'I have never got that impression'.

Interesting point, Canelo vs Froch, what do you reckon?

Carl Froch would stop Canelo Alvarez.

Froch has a better jab, better movement, greater endurance, greater durability and probably has greater punching power.

Alvarez most likely has a superior tactical mind, better punch combinations, greater single punch speed, and a better defense on the inside.

But none of that will be enough to deal with the bombardment Froch would put Alvarez under.

I am not ignorant or discrediting Alvarez. He is one of the greatest fighters of this era. If somebody ranked him as pound or pound number 1? I would have no issue with that. I just don't really rate his opponents very highly, this era is below par etc.

Man shut your dumb racist ass up. BJS and Plant are 'slow plodding white guys'? It's one thing to be racist. It's another to be a dumbass.

I don't know about a stoppage, but it would be a spectacular fight. If only their paths had crossed.

I agree about Canelo's (i.e the current) era being below par.

I still have no idea what sitting down on your punchers means, I see people saying this all the the time.

I am unsure why people would think Alvarez is the clear bigger puncher?
Sitting on your punches means when your flat footed, and throw a shot vs somebody who is moving backyards or to the side and throwing shots. If you get what I mean
