Sanctions against Russian businesses make sense because they affect ***** or at least the Russian economy. But Bivol doesn't work for his country. Is every Russian fighter supposed to be stopped from fighting in a Western country or we're just stopping the big fights?

Bivol was born in Kyrgyzstan, can he not fight under that flag?

If he was born there, he should renounce ***** and fight under the Kyrgyzstan flag. That would give the fighters and fans what they want, and send an even stronger message to Russia than him choosing to not fight / being barred from fighting. It would probably be quite dangerous for him though given *****'s aversion to dissent, so doubt it will happen.

I can understand that he can't really give up the fight seeing as its his big life-changing opportunity. It says a lot about Clenelo though that he chose to fight Bivol 2 days after Russia invaded, at a time when everyone else in world sports is calling for bans in the name of stopping the war. Especially when he could literally fight anyone, anywhere.

We have been playing the Ukranian anthem before every game but i’m hearing they won’t play it tonight. He is a supporter of *****. Washington would lose 4 of their best players. Dimitry Bivol is not Russian. Neither of his parents are Russian and he was born in Kyrgyzstan. He simply resides in Russia. Calling him Russian is like calling Wladimir Klitschko German because he spends most of his time there. Also don't forget Bivol has publicly stated that he is against the Russian invasion which likely endangers people he knows in Russia
