PBC fighters don't use VADA much. Except when they are in the WBC Clean Boxing Program.

Nope you have to tell them where you will be otherwise if you need to cycle off you could just book a holiday off.

Since the testing company knew the dates, why didn't they come earlier

So Charlo who has a record for ducking drug testing day is pointing the finger at Castano ..ok. He literally justified skipping a random drug test because he had promotional duties and saw nothing wrong in this .. it sounds like he wants drug testing but only on specific dates indicated by him.

Can someome please explain to me how a person ducks random blood testing?

If its random, then how are you supposed to duck it unless you have metahuman powers of claivoyance or telepathy or something?

I read that whole article and I can't figure out if Charlo was telling on himself, or really concerned Castano is using PEDs.

If I were to guess any guys in boxing were on PEDs, I would pick the Charlos pretty high on that list. Right there with Canelo and maybe a few others. Not hating just being honest.

“We only drug tested one time and that was before I asked,” Charlo recalled “I asked one of Al Haymon’s advisors, or people that represent Al Haymon, like ‘Hey, why ain’t we being drug tested this whole camp. The whole camp nobody came.’ You know what they told me? ‘Hey, Charlo you were supposed to request for that a month ago.’

A comment like that doesn't instill much confidence in me lol. Sounds like Haymon (and probably every other promoter) likes to be lax on drug testing because all their fighters are on the gear.

“I spoke with Al Haymon personally yesterday. He said drug testing will be heavy and it will be in-depth. “So I trust Al. Al is my guy. If you know Al personally like I know him, he leads you to the victory and that’s it.”

That's a rough comment too lol.

“I knew it was a month approaching [the original date of the rematch] and I contacted a bunch of people, and said 'hey, can y’all please make sure y’all doing the proper drug testing?’” Charlo said.

Is this a way of saying 'Hey I'm off my cycle, and I heard my opponent isn't done with his yet, can we test please' Lol

Boxing has so many issues but still a great sport. The drugs are nothing compared to the hometown decisions though.

yeah, not sure if most professional athletes just have general awareness of these things, but it does sound a bit self-incriminating.
