If he beats Whyte & Joshua it will be hard to deny him as not being the best of his era.
The forum can’t actually give credit to Fury for those wins though .

A.J is done and a hype job and Whyte isn’t even considered that good on here by the fanatics as well . Fury is in a pickle on here because his own fans shot down the actual good competition, Furys resume is not remotely ATG material and everyone practical knows that if he retired after Whyte it’s not remotely realistic to place him in with Vitali who actually defended titles and fought who was there in the WBC including forcing Lewis to retire or fight him in a rematch .

I'm always impressed at how Fury acts like he has beaten everybody after fighting only one top 20 opponent in 6 years and only 2 title defences ever. The guy is legit scared of losing. He even tried to stop Whyte accepting their fight by giving him a tiny percentage.

For the record Fury says he will retire before almost every fight. When I used to be a fan of his - he kept saying he was going to retire and live in a caravan because he liked a simple life. That was before his reality TV series....

Fury will retire with the best resume in HW division. Pretty good resume for a dead division.

Name no 1: Beat chisora not much to say here

Name no 2: beat a past it wlad in one of the most pathetic displays in heavyweight boxing by both men..let's also not forget wlad looked shot to bits his fight prior against brant jennings of all people. Shouts about being the greatest boxer ever and cowers into a kilo of ******* for a few years

Name no 3: watched wilder whilst probably coked out his mind getting schooled by an 80 year old Cuban then he suddenly wants to fight wilder because of how much trouble he had with oldtiz

Name no 4 will be whyte

For some fans on here actually thinking fury is in the top ten with these mediocre displays baffles me ,if you're a casual why are you guys even on this site ?

          Fury is a con man

If he wants to be top 20 atg he needs to beat usyk or Joshua before he retires

He should give the fans a few more top ten opponants before he runs off into the sunset if he's as great as he thinks

Come on, you can’t count Chisora as any kind of notable win. He’s game but has lost to every half-decent fighter he’s fought, he’s got 12 losses.

Wlad was beaten in better fashion by AJ.

Whyte has already been smashed to bits by AJ.

Even assuming that Fury beats Whyte, the only win he holds that’s better than AJ’s is Wilder, that took 2 attempts and a totally pointless 3rd fight when an undisputed with AJ was right there, all arranged and just waiting for Fury’s signature. That would have enhanced Fury’s resume 10x over beating up Wilder again.

End of the day though, if Fury does want to retire while healthy then who can blame him. But he just hasn’t fought quality fighters regularly enough to be classed as the best of his era, there will always be a huge question mark for me. Beyond his 2 signature wins (one of which AJ wrecked) there is nothing, not one notable name. Where are the top 10 fighters? Fury’s fans slag off AJ for fighting old fighters, the fact is he rattled through top 10 after top 10 and defence after defence, never running from anyone. Those fighters are the ones Fury didn’t go near and you don’t get credit for fantasy wins.

Tyson has a chance to be undisputed and that is what he has to gain. HW history means something

No chance and I'm a Fury fan to a degree. Just because he beat a 39 year old Wladimir doesn't add Wlad's accomplishments to his resume. He hasn't even unified the belts yet.

Wlad, 3x Wilder and Whyte wins are great. Wallin, Cunningham and Hammer wins are good. Is Wlad still active? I am talking about current fighters. Fury has the best top wins and undefeated record.

Yeah, I misunderstood what you meant. My bad. Fury does have the best HW resume at the moment, followed closely by AJ.

Also, while I disagree, Fury technically only has 2 x Wilder wins.

Why not retire? There aren't that many contenders to pick from. Parker has been at that level but has been dragging his feet on his career. Frank Sanchez and Joe Joyce need a few more years and bigger fights to contend against Fury and all the other prospects are just that, prospects. Fury could retire, spend time with his family, and if he wants to come back he'll have options.
