So now Bivol and GGG back2back is Canelo ducking quality fights ? smh , not a Canelo fan , but the guy is legit , did he had some soft fights ? sure , but he is active and its OK to have some soft fights from time to time , everyone did/do/will do them , as the sane boxing fans mentioned already , no matter who he picks next he will be ducking all the rest , same happened to Floyd.

Bivol is a mega fight talent wise for him and a GGG trilogy would be great to watch as well , so not sure how ppl can berate him.

The biggest thing I learn from reading the haters is the unreal double standards , the "waiting for Canelo to call" is the same issue we had with Floyd/Pac sweepstakes in the past , until they schedule a fight , nothing happens , when they do , everyone waits to see the outcome before doing anything meaningful as they know that a loss disqualifies them from taking part in the next sweepstakes.

You look back at the 147 division when Floyd was active shameful ..... same as pac.

"best fighting the best" is the worst it ever been in the sport , Canelo is at least giving us some good fights along the way.

Charlo needs to stop ducking the man he called out Benavidez. Andrade has been calling Charló our too, charló a paper champ, he got elevated when Canelo moved up in weight.

Benavidez lost his fight to the scales after Canelo said he would be campaigning at 168, Benavidez only one at fault for losing his belt or fight would have already happened

Not only fighting each other to make a case for themselves but also they will get a bigger piece of the pie. If the GGG fight happens that fight has more value because of the name recognition. These guys got to get there in order to negotiate a better deal for themselves. But no, all they do is cry why they should get a shot instead of actually fighting.

I would like to see Canelo against Charlo, Benavides, Bivol, Bertebiev, etc. but in reality none of the fighters have a real momentum, string of great victories or a signature win. No matter who Canelo fights if he wins they will discredit it somehow.

Plant had the 168 IBF belt
            Kovalev, lol seriously?
Billy Joe had the 168 WBO belt
Callum Smith had the 168 WBA belt

What's so hard to understand, Canelo wanted those belts and those were the guys that had them. Everyone that people claim he's ducking have nothing to offer.

And who exactly is he ducking? Who do you consider better than Bivol, is Canelo ducking?

Bivol isn't all the way white. And if there were any good black fighters or Latino fighters at 168-175, you'd have a case but there aren't.

Pure arrogance: Look at the names and the level of competitiveness of his last four fights. Like he said he really doesn't give a F--k what you think.

                2. Most- if not all- of Canelo's fights are fixed in one way or another, so who cares? THE SCORECARDS ARE ALREADY FILLED OUT DUMMIES. His fights lack suspense, authenticity and everything else a high profile fight should have. Why do you think Nacho doesn't respect him?

Ginger Midget has the sport rigged like no one before him ever had. He's just as much responsible for the Pu$$ification of modern day boxing as any fighter ever.

I dare one of you morons to argue with me on either point.

I know this is not going to be popular, but I feel for Canelo. Yeah, he could use some instruction in media relations. "I don't give a ****," is probably more frustration that arrogance on his part. Here's a guy who is fighting four weight classes above where he started. Calling out a fighter is one thing. We can all agree it is part of the game. But when you don't get the fight, go earn the mandatory. EARN THE RIGHT to fight Canelo. If you're a fighter in a different weight class than Canelo, go to his weight class, earn the mandatory, and then you might have the right to a fight. Otherwise, you're just a schmuck with no PPV numbers looking for a payday. Have some respect and you might get a shot. That will require some luck. Otherwise, go build a resume and earn the mandatory. Yeah, you have to walk through that fire. Five weight classes shows that Canelo has walked through that fire. You have to do the same. SO HERE'S THE BATTERY OF QUESTIONS YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF IF YOU DESERVE A FIGHT WITH CANELO: A) Do you have 50 fights on your resume? No? Then shut up. B) Do you have a title? No? Then shut up. C) Are you the mandatory? No? Then shut up. D) Have you fought in a PPV event? Have you done the numbers to make it worth Canelo's time? No? Then shut up. E) Have you defeated a Top-Five contender in Canelo's division? No? Then shut up. Andrade, Charlo and others have no hope unless they move up. And they have to beat a contender at 168 before they can even be considered. Benavidez might have the biggest gripe (5 consecutive stoppages, including a 9th round KO of Dirrell) but two things are in his way: 1) needs to get some more distance from the doping incident, and 2) Might have to move to 175 to get in Canelo's crosshairs, and Canelo is not looking for him. And, at this point, he'll have to wait until 2023 now that Golovkin is back in the picture. And sure there might be some hypocrisy about Canelo not considering Benavidez because of the doping issues while Canelo has had his own PEDs issues. But Canelo, who is looking to retire by 37, is fighting for legacy, and, unfortunately, Benavidez doesn't fit into that picture. He has to chase Canelo, go to the weight classes he goes to, become a mandatory or defeat a Top 5 there, and let the world know that Canelo is running away. That actually is a smart plan, but that is also walking through fire to get the cash king.
