I got a email from DAZN stating the monthly subscription rate will raise from $9.99 to $19.99, I’ve been with them since the beginning and glad they honored the $10 rate in 2021. Now once I watch the chocolalito-Martinez fight tomorrow I’m going to cancel my subscription, it’s not worth it at $20 a month plus it’s easy to watch a free stream or if anything happens they post it on social media in a matter or minutes.

    done with PPV’s
    done with Mickey Mouse programming

boxing better get their stuff together

Yeah, I get it. My point is that it wasn't immediately obvious that was the case. At least, not to me.

I just figured $100 for a year of boxing was worth it to hit that sub button.

Yea I tell you Dess it sure seems like the suits were looking at this move all the way thru sorta like he has the numbers so he will draw the new fight fans man alive do they want those new fans bad. It was long in the planning too, all the way back to the break then some so so fights to keep him out there by way of DAZN, he could not have got more promo from anyone then on DAZN every show of there"s had to mention him and praise the guy. What a set up for a fighter. Not knocking his skills just agreeing with your take on it is all well and adding some stuff that was so obvious to me and many other fight fans. I could go on but it is all there bussiness as usual.

Then they shouldn't have made promises to the boxing consumer that they never had plans on keeping. That's the bottom line. It's called false and misleading advertising or in other words bait and switch.

Um its not just that theyre adding back ppv, they also want a subscription fee that has been increased multiple times, PLUS the damn PPV and having a subscription only "saves" you 20 dollars off the PPV price?

I cancelled my sub and will stream them.

Should’ve built something with young active fighters who are cheap, not part time fighters who cost loads of money. Should have followed several fighters for a few years to try and build their following. HBO 24/7 series comes to mind. This would’ve provided regular content and helped build fighters for their brand. Gotta have an eye for young talent and make them available to the subscribers. Imagine what signing GGG in 2010 would’ve done for DAZN VS 2017. They should’ve gushed over Berlanga or Benavidez.

Many of us tried to tell you PPV wasn’t going to die and that DAZN was going to go this route.
I wondered who’s alt that idiot is.

The thing people don't get is that DAZN really did TRY to eliminate PPV and offer fans an affordable product but they failed due to being frozen out by the bitter, seedy, shady old timers who boxing has been flailing under for the past 30 years.

For some reason "fans" cheer this failure and the fact that we still have to pay $100 ppv for every half decent fight.

                    Strange bunch, boxing fans.
