Why doesn't Devon Alexander just gun for retirement? Is he broke? If he's not, he should give up boxing. His best years are way behind him.

I don't think he's completely broke but he's not set for life either. He has a wife and three kids and used to have severe addiction issues. I don't think he saved all his money from all those big fights he was in from 2008-2018.

I would rather guys who are past it fight each other rather than seeing Alexander or Guerrero try to jump in with one of these younger guys and get absolutely Pummeled

So yeah I don't mind this matchup thrown on a Undercard somewhere

On a scale from 1 to 10, the demand and interest to see Devon Alexander back in the ring is about -100.

Problem is, Alexander is WAY more past it than Guerrero.

Guerrero is on a four fight winning streak and has only lost once in his career to a fighter that WASN'T a world champion at some point (a 12 round split decision to David Peralta; all the rest of his losses came against the likes of Floyd, Thurman, Garcia, undefeated Figueroa, etc).

Alexander is 0-3-1 in his last four, 1-5-1 in his last 7, and 2-6-1 in his last 9 including losses to Lucas Santamaria, Aaron Martinez, and Ivan Redkach.

It's not even like Devon Alexander used to be exciting to watch. He is one of the most dreary boxers I've ever seen.

Probably a co-main for Tank's next cherry pick.

I hope whoever's job it is to come up with the hype material for this fight gets a well earned raise.

Alexander just needed more power. I hope he makes a lot of money and hangs em up after this. 314.
