Fun ass fight style wise and it's a unification so you can't go wrong with this.

Kind of where I am at. Golovkin has been inactive and when he has fought, he has been in with scrubs since his rematch with Alvarez. Throw in the skill set and national pride for Murata, this smells like it could be a Ryota Murata career defining moment.

Golovkin gets points for going into his opponents home turf from me, though, not to mention it will be a ton more pressure on Murata than Golovkin as Trip G is used to this kind of high profile fight. Golovkin should have the strength advantage and still has one of the best jabs in all of boxing.

I just feel Murata right now. Do reserve the right to change my mind by April.

Man boxing is such a mess. Never properly recovered from covid. This fight a prime example of it. Murata hasn't fought in 2 years or whatever, and GGG not much better. No idea how this one plays out with all that ring rust.

Their age and inactivity makes this one very unpredictable. Power and punch resistance are important for both fighters, so I'm expecting a violent battle of attrition. GGG has more wear and tear, but is arguably more skilled. Murata has been more inactive, but he'll have the home crowd behind him. I think this match-up has FOTY potential.

I expect a Derevy-GGG type of fight. Where Murata could outwork Golovkin in many rounds, but GGG's power will be more pronounced most rounds. You know Murata won't quit so it does become a case of can GGG score some KDs perhaps.

There's no fighter has more heart and desire to win than one that will get a payday if they win. Kovalev used up every last bit of his strength to beat Yarde because he had the Canelo fight coming next. After the fight, Kov was exhausted and said something like I needed this win more than any other fight.

GGG is going to be just like Kovalev. Win at all costs and show heart to pull it off. Then get KOed and retired by Canelo.

Murata is 36. It's an easier than young undefeated lion like Yarde.
