That's why him getting 50/50 against AJ was a legit consideration.
Joshua's fights were held at a different time due to fighting in the UK. Of course an American fighting on prime time in the US would do better numbers. But you didn't dispute anything i said in my comment. It was a strawman argument.

But to answer your ridiculous comment, British fighters had much bigger numbers than say Floyd did over here. But would they have been seen as sane if they were to ask for half the money should he fight over here? No. That would be laughable. But i'm glad this freak show is now over. It will be back at some point, you deranged weirdo's are far too extreme for it not to be.

AJ did better numbers on DAZN than nearly all of Wilder's numbers in the US. His first fight. Then when you take into account the money from the ticket sales, it's beyond what Wilder could do or sustain.

It'll sell well over here I'd imagine, both guys are known to the fans and it's a big event. No idea about the American market, but i doubt it'll do too much there.

If Wilder can't sell out a small arena being an American against someone who was proposed as some "Bogeyman" in the US, then yes, he can't sell for shlt. 10,000 tickets in a arena that holds 16,000 is incredibly poor.

It was only when Fury was back at his best did the event sell. But as we know, that was the British fans who travelled. There were hardly any Americans there. It was all to do with Fury. At no point other than with Fury did he sell out.

With a heavy espn push they could do 100k
And only if white starts doing press conferences
And trash talking, also they time might be a
Problem depending on the time zone, us in the
West coast are way behind every body

It will do better than Joshua vs Usyk I.

I have no idea what the numbers were for that event, as I don't usually bother obessing over such details.

Just for the sake of saying something in the thread, I think Fury vs Whyte will be bigger than all of Anthony Joshua's recent fights accept Ruiz II.

I don't believe this? I go further than belief. It's stone cold facts.

If an American Heavyweight "Champion" can't sell out a small arena, then i think it's safe to say he can't sell.

Why, how many tickets would he need to sell before you claim it to be "Poor"?

They had to cap the Usyk fight. Only 60,000 were allowed to attend.

Bigger than AJ? In what way? Money generated through ticket sales, or the fight itself as Whyte is a top opponent?

I am not talking about crowd attendance, I was specifically talking about Pay Per View buys etc

I just think Tyson Fury's home coming fight is going to be bigger than all of Anthony Joshua's recent fights.

In fact it may be bigger than all of his fights accept Ruiz II & Wladimir Kiltschko.

It is a disappointment that Whyte did not attend the press conference, as I would imagine the interest would of been sparked even higher right now.

                      Low move by Whyte.
