This Ukraine crisis sure put a wrench into what was shaping up to be a good year for HW boxing. We have no idea how long this war will go on. I hope the belts don’t get vacated & i certainly hope the organizations don’t strip Usyk. That would end any chance of an undisputed title fight. IBF would have Hrgovic vs Zhang which is almost as bad as Martin vs Glazkov. The WBO would have Joyce vs Parker for vacant strap & WBA would have Dubois vs Bryan or King would try & lobby to have Bryan named WBA super champion… Joshua would be left out in the cold because he is not ranked high enough. He is #5 in WBA, WBO #4, IBF #4… this war could completely change the HW landscape if Usyk is forced to vacate… In hindsight that step aside money whatever the amount that was offered don’t look so bad now but nobody could prepare for this… Joshua has a rematch clause with Usyk not anyone else so I don’t know exactly what Hearn & Joshua can do if the belts get vacated. I’m no expert on contracts so I’m only speculating on the matter.

I mean thanks for generalizing this. Tbf to that situation we really didn’t expect Andy Ruiz, as a replacement fighter in a fight many ppl didn’t think would be competitive, to push Joshua’s **** in like he did that night. Many ppl expected it to be just a fluke win and in hindsight it turned out to be. Usyk on the other hand, former undisputed CW, moving up, undefeated, completely embarrassed AJ over 12 rounds and did so in a fashion where we’ve seen him fight harder in other matchups against guys who would’ve folded to Joshua. Taking the step aside here would have no been seen, imo, beta. It’s like Froch sending Bute into a mini retirement and Bute choosing not to opt into his rematch at the time bc he knew the result would be the same.
Last time the forum cried over A.J was complaining about him not taking the rematch with Ruiz to get stopped again .
Lets be real if he took any side step money the forum would call him a ducker like when the fake reports of a 15 million step aside money was being discussed . The forums always salivating to get an angle on how to go at A.J .

It’s like watching Shane Mosley trying to out jab Winky Wright, Vernon Forrest trying to out gun Ricardo Mayorga, hell even Shane thinking he could outspeed Forrest. Taylor thinking he could hit harder than Pavlik. Hopkins thinking he could put muscle Taylor. This has been a long trend of guys just having certain guys number. Even Choco with Sor Rungvisai. I don’t think outside of a grand slam right hand perfectly placed by AJ is going to change the rematch. Maybe the Ukraine crisis takes Usyk mind off his training. But he also grew up in this climate and most of these guys are treating this situation like they were ready for it.
Only problem with your statement was that it was not a fake step aside money like Eddie and all his minions on here were lying about until that UK newspaper bust their bubble. No issues here if he takes a step aside cos he cannot win that fight but don't lie about it or try to play on people's intelligence. He is about to get embarrassed now and the gravy train probably stops. Dumb move.Comment

To be fair, he might have grown up with tensions, and actual armed conflict in 'disputed' regions, but he hasn't grown up with major, unequivocally Ukrainian cities getting the **** blown out of them.

Usyk has a lot on his plate at the minute. Massive understatement from the morally bankrupt slime ball.Eddie Hearn is fookin clown. He talking usyk vs joshua in March? 0 chance that happens. Ukraine is locked in conflict with Russia that will last awhile here. Usyk will not be training anytime soon even tho I’m sure eddie will try to push the fight quicker to use this to AJ”s advantage. Sleezy sleezy **** worst ive ever seen from any promoter and I seen some poor stuff. The fact he even commenting on boxers in Ukraine fighting boxing matches anytime soon is just trashComment

Ruiz was about the fourth fighter down the line who accepted the fight , many people outside Wilder and Fury fans thought it would be better then the actual Miller fight myself included the A.J haters mocked Ruiz . Ruiz was noted as the better fighter ,the forum as usual pretended like they knew Ruiz was going to win ,I even seen most posters stating Ruiz size was to much for A.J in the rematch only to say he didn’t train for it right after his loss but the same posters were saying how sharp he looked in his public work out .

Usyk didn’t embarrass A.J that’s just a narrative you guys use because he lost a competitive fight . It was actually the only fight I’ve ever seen where Usyks eyes rolled into the back of the head ,afterwards he looked like he was actually in a war . Both guys fought very good ,A.J just slightly one step behind , anyone claiming he has no chance is just a hater nothing really to discuss here it’s not worth my time because this is always going to happen when A.J fights and may have to come back to win . I just don’t want him to fight Usyk now be the excuse is already put into play since we have unfortunately the war situation going on .Last edited by REDEEMER; 03-01-2022, 06:31 AM.Comment
