I guess that's what is best for him. The site I use to post at he was labeled as a boxing God by some
I hear Mirajes announced his retirement

A year ago I was talking about how he was going to dominate Vic and now he loses to fringe contenders.Comment

You weren't the only one. I wanted to see Mirajes vs Donaire so damn bad. But Vic was a man on a mission that night. I give Mirajes credit for getting up in the 1st round. Personally I didn't think he recovered from that kd. Vic was on his ass the entire fightComment

I've never seen anyone fall off the top pedistal of boxing so fast.
P4P ranked, and three losing fights later, he retires because he has nowhere to go in the sport.Comment

I don't think I've seen enough good Mijares fights, but the ones I have seen...I honestly never understood how he was so highly reguarded. The few fights I've seen him in he struggled with average fighters. I didn't think he had a chance with Vic, he just looked way too small and frail for someone like Vic. I don't know if it's a lack of Mijares exposure I've seen, or if it's because the only fighter at those lower weightclasses I've ever really paid attention to was Rafa. Eitherway, as much as people would talk about this kid, I kinda wish I caught some of his better fights.Comment
