  • How is Crawford able to move up from 135 and stop guys like Porter and Brook?

Pac and Floyd’s KO ratio decreased when they moved up but Crawford has increased. Dude has brutally stopped 12 of his last 13 opponents. He looks like a skinny guy from the hood, where does the power come from?

Canelo started at 147 and he's knocking out light heavyweights and super middleweights, teasing a move to cruiserweight.

Pacquiao started at 112 and ended up at 154.

Some guys have a frame that can support steady moves up in weight. Other guys don't, and they get destroyed when they move up too high like Jorge Linares at 140.

He was probably always a guy who cut a lot of weight, which doesn't necessarily help your power at the lower weights. Also he has a solid frame and has grown over the years.

And he is a really sharp puncher that can catch you with shots you don't see. Those are the worst shots

Leverage and technique, he also has a good size frame to fill out as he moves up in weight.

His natural weight is 154 and he walks around 180. He is official weight bully. Poor 135 and 140 lbs fighters... he even bullied 147 lbs Porter.

And, he is looking skinny but he isn't. He has big torso and very long limbs. He looks like Slender Man. Like I said, his perfect weight is actually 154. Just like Kell Brook.

He has a huge frame for his height but he keeps himself really lean. If he ever decided to not watch his diet he would likely gain a lot more mass (not necessarily fat) and power since he would carry it naturally.

I was the same way in the amateurs. Against people closer to my height I was a lot wider than them in my torso and enjoyed a massive strength advantage. Got tired of basically starving myself and moved up several weight classes rather quick. It wasn't until I started giving up about 4 inches in height that I was felt evenly matched in strength. All that said I was the bigger puncher even more so moving up because of my heavy upper torso which allowed me to put a lot more weight and conviction into each of my shots.

I imagine Crawford underwent something similar as he allowed his body to not starve. It's why I don't think Spence will be able to just push Crawford backwards and why Spence won't have the size advantage that most think he will. So in short Crawford kept himself small at 135 and 140. I also think he doesn't have much time left at 147 before he will need to move up.

No extreme weight for Crawford at 147lbs.

Day before weigh in's create a illusion.

How is Crawford able to move up? You do know that he is weighing close to 160 + pounds on fights night?

Crawford is just not draining himself as much 'Like he did at 135 pounds'.

                    And that is the illusion.

Bring back the 'Same day weigh in rule'.
