Dmitry Bivol could be a really tough fight for Canelo.

I ain't been paying attention maybe, but folk seriously been saying Bivol's a cherrypick?

Guess that's one way of whittling down the list of posters that can be taken seriously..

I even give Bivol a reasonable shot at the kinda W that is beyond the judges to rescue, although only a small one. Likely scenario is a the kinda fight with enough rounds that ain't completely decisive that you can make a case either way, even if it ain't strong one.

Seen it more on Twitter than here. I actually think this is one of the best fights of Canelo's career. I just wish Bivol's career didn't take such a nose dive after HBO got out of the boxing business.

I don't think Bivol has the skill or technical attributes to trouble Alvarez.

The only thing he has maybe? Is his physical strength and endurance. It will be a good performance from him if he lasts the distance.

Deep down that is probably his aim.

You cannot discredit Canelo Alvarez for exposing this below par era of fighters. I really don't rate most of his competition, it is vividly clear to me that the standard of competition is lower than past era's etc.

Bivol may be big enough and prime enough to chose to stand in there and give and take too. That is not his style, and I agree with others who say he's very good, yet relatively basic and wants it neat....but at some point Canelo will be reminded he's the smaller guy in these weight classes .Bivol is prime so that is the biggest factor, taken no damage, he should have plenty in the tank - like how strong Sturm felt against Oscar

Canelo breaks him down to the body IMO

He is a bit Slow and Stiff honestly, I think Canelo will have no problem making him miss easily and Countering with big Shots Particularly to the body is where Canelo ultimately breaks him down. Not a Big Puncher at all so I'm not even sure he can Hurt Canelo even when he lands but He will STRUGGLE to Land consistently

Craig Richards lost clearly to Bivol but wide margin but even HE was able to have moments in which he caught Bivol with some Good Big Counters...Canelo will land those MORE

The question is whether Bivol can beat Canelo 10-2, not just beat him. Because if he beats him 8-4, or a fight with a lot of close ish rounds, Bivol isn't winning lol.

Bivol really doesn't get hit much at all, body or head.

Just how it is when you face the superstar. If Canelo had 5 losses he wouldn't really be a draw and the sport loses a lot of money.

I can't see Canelo beating Bivol unless there is a hidden clause in the contract. I expect a clear Bivol win but that may not be enough to actually get a win.
