Dmitry Bivol could be a really tough fight for Canelo.

Dmitry Bivol could be a really tough fight for Canelo.

Boxers can still have some decent success against Canelo. I thought Saunders and Plant had their moments. The idea that someone with a good jab, good feet and a weight class above those guys is easy or a cherry pick for Saul is weird to me.

i dont think any of the guys in contention for nelo now are cherry picks, all good fights - a step up from his last fights but i dont blame nelo collecting belts all over the place, what a nice thing to do

Yes he is,toughest fight for Canelo at 175 and under. So as long as its at the full fledged 175 limit,I can easily see Bivol boxing Canelo to a UD. Canelo doesn't have Joe Smith power so it's going to be a chess match with pure boxing ability and Bivol can more than hold his own.

Bivol boxes well, moves well and has decent power. But he just seems a bit too tidy, Canelo should be able to force mistakes.

I hope Bivol comes out pumping that jab though. Just pick up the rounds and make him work. GGG is the only one who really rammed that jab.

Saunders and Plant won more than 4 rounds "combined"? I gave to Saunders and Plant 2 rounds each. Current Canelo 2.0 is out-boxer killer. He is comfortable with them. Out-boxers lack of huge punch power, brawling ability and granite chin. Canelo makes them miss and outworks them. Bivol is another pure boxer. We are not in 2014. A pressure counter-puncher is much harder fight for Canelo. Beterbiev is tougher fight. Bivol is not even a slick or defensive fighter. He is stiff. His distance control will be neutralized by Canelo's ring cutting skills.
