Oscar was obviously in much better shape agaisnt Floyd. But i still think that if Oscar would not have been weight drained he would still have lost just as badly.

At the end of the day, the Oscar-Floyd fight was competitive, i had Floyd win by 2 points.

The Pacquiao-DelaHoya fight was just a beat down. I think Pac beat Oscar way more convincingly.

        Did he? Why?

Hatton was the same size in both fights..... what made him better vs Pac? The benefit of being KO'd before?

Obviously Mayweather beat a better shape ODLH.. No need to ask this question.

I've still never heard a good argument as to why Hatton was better in the Pac fight than in the Floyd fight. He was older and had been knocked out by Floyd and stunned bad by Lazcano. Not only that, but his style did not mesh at all with Floyd Sr.

So he weighed in at 140 instead of 145...all that means is that he had to cut more weight, because he weighed in the same at fight night. How is post-KO Hatton better than a confident undefeated one?

Floyd fought Ricky at welterweight, 1 division above

Pac fought him at his domain at jnr. welter

both versions of DLH during the fights in question were FAR below his prime... Mayweather ofcourse feels otherwise... He sais that pacman fought a shot and out of prime DLH...hahaha. what a joke- who did he fight? Other than the fight with the drugged and softened Mayorga, DLH hadnt won a legit fight since 2003.

Hatton was better against Pac because he was at his best weight, the weight he made his career at. Hatton was clearly almost completely ineffective against top competition at welterweight. When he came back down to 140 I think he recovered much of his confidence destroying Paulie Malignaggi, and a small guy like Pac was expected to be tailor made for a mugger like Hatton.

He's not better at 140, he's the same fighter. The problem is, when fighting welterweights like Collazo and Floyd, his physical advantages go away. This doesn't mean that the Hatton that fought Floyd is worse H2H than the Hatton that fought Pacquiao.
