Comments Thread For: Andrade-Parker: Queensberry Promotions Win Purse Bid For WBO Interim-Title Fight

Frank Warren has claimed another significant fight through a purse bid hearing. The Hall of Fame promoter's Queensberry Promotions secured the promotional rights to the interim WBO super middleweight title fight between Providence's Andrade and England's Zach Parker. An offer of $1,834,050 was submitted by Queensberry, the highest bidder during a purse bid hearing held Thursday at WBO headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

WOW Hearn is going to be livid. It says Queensbury and the article suggests the fight Will be in UK. Does this mean Warren actually has 1.8m himself? Seems a stretch. Usually it's ESPN pulling the strings but this doesn't seem to be the case here?

Anyone know why Queensbury bid is such a specific number and so close to matchrooms? Looks shady

If Canelo signs the PBC deal, DAZN might as well close up shop!

Why would he? He's fought overseas before, and this is against a no name, it's his specialty

What happened to Hearn's 'war chest' full of cash? Wasn't that long ago he was boasting about that but now he's being outbid by Warren. A bit like when a UK boxer claims he's gonna be the best in the world and then loses at domestic level. Twice in 2 months.

Shake my muthafùcķin head. Eddie Hearn got Andrade fighting for 1.1M when his mandatory minimum is higher than that.

I hope Andrade worked out a deal where he gets paid on the backend.

They’re playing the long game here. They’re hoping to force Canelo to face him, which would triumph any money left on the table by accepting this fight.
