Comments Thread For: Parker: Whyte is a Very Tough Man - But I Can't See Fury Losing

Former WBO world champion Joseph Parker is very familiar with both Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte. Parker has trained side by side with Fury several times, with the two boxers sharing trainer Andy Lee.

And here, Parker’s more or less covered everything in that inoffensively diplomatic style of his that should see him working for the UN.

In short, Fury won’t lose, but Whyte will give him a good go.

Might be wrong, but absolutely cannot see a KO in this one. We all know Fury is a far superior boxer to Whyte, but Whyte has the “right” style to send this fight to snoozeville.

Unless Fury changes up and decides to stick and move…

Not to ruin your week or anything, but I reckon Whyte doesn’t retire straight after his only title shot.

He’s lost a cpl before, so he’s unlikely to be so psychologically damaged by losing that he calls it, and he’s in and around eliminator spots with other scummy sanctioning bodies, or was (WBO?)

Fury by UD. I don’t think he will take any big risks against Whyte. Kind of like what Lennox did to Tua. Just beat him from the outside & anytime he tries to get inside he will punish him or just smother him. I am not sure that this will be a barnburner. I give Whyte a chance to pull off the upset but i still have it like the purse split 80/20 Fury wins decisively by UD. Wilder had a punchers chance but so does Whyte. Fury got up every time he got dropped. Whyte has a much wider range of tools than Wilder but he also takes a lot more risks which leaves him open. I really do think Whyte is about to find out how good Fury really is under the bright lights. Whyte then undisuted championship. If Usyk beats Joshua again it will be 2 against him then a voluntary against Joshua or just 2 straight with Joshua if he wins. That will be it after that. I just don’t see him continuing much longer. What I think doesn’t matter because he has to get by Whyte first & come out of it with no injuries…

Can fury box on the outside for a full 12 rounds now that he is older, and doesn't bother to get as fit as he used to?

Parker may have had some problems with Whyte... even if he nearly stopped him in their fight... but I don't see
Fury having any trouble getting a UD or mid/late rounds stoppage. Whyte has liabilities that will limit his tools for the attack.
And Fury has all the tools he needs.... which will frustrate Whyte all night long, then he'll get desperate and make a big mistake.
