The atmosphere there makes you feel like your somebody because of the hospitality and ofcourse if you have a family there or have buddies its a party everyday. Very laid back. Prolly much like Puerto Rico.
People love it there because of the $$$ to pesos conversion. The hospitality that people are talkin about is really that local Pinoy who is kissing their @ss to get some $$$. lol

C'mon man. Would y'all really love it, if you were the common Pinoy who has to work in the Philippines?

Don't get me wrong, Philippines has some really nice areas(it has alot of potnetial to even get better) and I love the food. But, the ones that enjoy the Philippines are a) the rich b) retired Pinoys who are getting their pension in $$$ otherwise, good f**kin' luck, it's a difficult way of living there with lots of inconveniences.

I never understood the folks who say they want to live there because of the "way of life". But, that way of life they're talkin' about would not exist if it wasn't for their American $$$.

I always say that visiting a place is not the same as living there. I did not take the tourist route. So I know what you mean and how hard it is there. I saw how people strech their pesos in order to have enough food on the table. Of course I could not live in Davao or Arecibo (PR) if I did not have a good job just like anywhere else. So what you are saying is true.

            Actually no.

People in PR do not have the power to vote in PR elections. The delegates you see there do not have any power.

It is actually the congress of the US who oversees the affairs of the island. So technically no it is not ***** but he can influence what happens there. I just say he is not because the people there cannot vote for the president.

But yea if one keeps it simple you can say he is.

Out of all the beach resorts in S.E Asia. I think Philippines takes the cake. I don't know, for some reason I like Thailand better in general, it helps that I'm a Muay Thai whore.

I love Thai food, women it's a tie, Thais have a strong culture, they're nationalistic. Unlike the Pinoys, they're so heavily influence by American culture. My last trip in the PI was a few months ago. And I remember talkin' to two Canadians, it was their first time in the PI and they just came from Thailand. I asked them what they thought of the Philippines, and they told me that it wasn't "exotic" enough. Meaning, it was too influenced by Western culture.
