Nice chess move if Bud can somehow get the Charlo-Castano winner for undisputed. This would back Spence into a corner should he win since Spence is certain to outgrow 147 sooner than later…I’ve always thought the plan was for Spence to transition to 154 as Mel went to 160 and Mal to 168

Must have went over your head.
I’m talking about fans in general, not just the fans on this small forum. This ideology has spread well beyond this forum. Its brought up in interviews, social media, YouTube & even other fighters now openly saying & using it as an excuse. Hence, the narrative has been given power.
my point was that fans need to stop contributing to the perpetuation of false narratives. Instead of being cheerleaders & supporting bs excuses for why fights can’t happen, collectively we should all be questioning why they can’t happen, on every platform.
The narrative has power because once HBO fired Haymon and aligned themselves with just TR and GBP, what did you expect Haymon to do? Get out of the business and fold?
Haymon got isolated he did his own thing. Now posters seem to want to forget how all this began and just want Haymon to go back to how things were. Yet when Bob controls a division, like LW, he’s never asked to cede his power or control.
Do you honestly think that can happen? If you were Haymon, would you do that?Last edited by The Big Dunn; 02-23-2022, 07:13 AM.Comment

funny how crawford said he been trying to get Spence for years,, facts will always tell you the truth, and Spence holds two titles and going for a third one and crawford only has one and he priced himself out of Spence fight,,, like arum said ,You always loss money on crawford fights, not worth what he thinks he’s worthComment

Facts of the case is bob tarnished his name and his viability over and over while bud was still under contract. He was paid to promote, didn’t get the fights and shtted on his charge. Bobs history may not help in this one, I wouldn’t be surprised if bob has to settleComment

Crawford for undisputed at 154 gets my PPV money all day...when guys want to fight more times than not the fight gets made...I'm blaming Arum's beef with Haymon for not getting this Spence fight...maybe free agent Bud sees the value in taking a little less to get Spence in the ring...he has a big night and that could pay dividends in future fightsComment
