I was also a big Khan fight at some point. The guy had an exciting style and had lightning quick hands. His only downfall in my opinion was his chin. It just couldn't take a solid punch. It sucks because that was his kryptonite. I also wish he would have gotten the Mayweather fight but we all know Mayweather was ultra calculated in his matchmaking. I also wish Khan would have gone out better. It would have been nice to have seen him give Kell hell even if it still ended in a loss. But, what's done is done. All aside, I wish him a happy life and that he can enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Any time is the best time to get out of professional prize fighting......also, inactivity between fightd isn't kind to aging fighters imo

This writer is delusional. Khan would have done better vs Crawford and Canelo if he had the skill set to upset Mayweather. It's not about speed,it's about timing. Mayweather was in a class of his own in that department. Mayweather easily out boxed Canelo, Canelo was outboxing Khan before he stoppage. He's easy to setup and he can't take a punch.

Amir would get hurt and dropped by counters from guys who weren’t even counterpunchers

but he’ll fare well against one the best counters ever

            okay

The Floyd haters flock to the twitter poll Khan won but realistically Khan never put himself in a position to be viable to Floyd. Ever since Mosley the pattern with Floyd is that he picked opponents coming off a career high. Shane had just beaten and knocked out the #1 WW iron chinned Margarito, Ortiz had just won the WBC belt against undefeated Andre Berto in FOTY, Cotto was coming off his revenge fight against Margarito, Guerrero had 2 FOTY candidates, Canelo just unified against undefeated Trout, etc. If Khan rematched Lamont or Danny at 147 he might've staked a claim for a Floyd fight but he played it safe fighting Diaz, Collazo, and Alexander.

Khan got timed by Danny "One Trick Pony" Garcia, who isn't 1/10th the counter-puncher Floyd is.

Absolutely lies. Mayweather timing would've stopped Khan. No way did he deserve a fight with May after moving up, he never did anything g at 147 at all.

Yep Floyd can also come forward and beat Amir up if the situation calls for it

                    he did it to Zab

and Kell did it to Amir

Mayweather's pull counter would have knocked out Khan.

Hell, his jab might have dropped him.
