How many times have you watched a fight and, just from the ringwalk, you KNOW? Psychologically I mean, not obvious mismatches.

It's not that often, really. Some examples:

        * Roy Jones Jr. vs. Tarver II - The fight that got me to join this forum looking for a stream, actually. Wow, that was a long time ago. Tarver had given Roy Hell in the first fight, and, while I didn't expect a second round TKO, you could see it in the eyes of both men. They KNEW.

        * Calzaghe vs. Lacy - At the time Lacy was talked up in NSB as the son of Mike Tyson genetically cloned with King Kong... yet strangely, you'll rarely find someone who admits it today. So I wanted the Slapsie win for all the pwn and laughs it would produce. And during the ring walks, I went "Wow... Calzaghe IS going to win. I AM going to be able to rip the piss out of people tomorrow." It was in their eyes.

        * Lewis vs. Rahman II. More when they're getting the ref's instructions than the walk, but I shit my pants looking at Lennox's eyes in that one, so I can't blame Rahman for doing the same.

        * I can't really say Bruno vs. Tyson II, as when one of the fighters walks to the ring repeatedly making the sign of the cross it's a bit TOO much of a giveaway.

Why all this rambling? Well, I wasn't sure who'd win Khan-Brook. I certainly thought it'd be COMPETITIVE. I actually thought, from the weigh ins, press conferences, etc., that Khan was where he needed to be, as Kell was too wired and emotional.

But then, while I can't claim I KNEW on the ring walks - it wasn't quite THAT obvious, it rarely is - I switched to Kell. He was the relaxed one, Amir was tense.

What say you guys? Not about tonight's amusing bout, but on the subject overall? You ever seen a ringwalk and just KNEW?
Yeah Khan knew he had nothing left walking to the ring. Reminded me of Haye vs Bellew 2. He was simply turning up for a final payday.

Actually, another one - though it wasn't much of a pick given that he'd only just sparked him three months earlier - was the rematch between David Price and Thompson. If you're entering a ring tensed up and your opponent is singing along and dancing to your walk in music, it's a bit of a giveaway.
I'm sure David Price made someone very rich with those defeats.

I started betting on him after that. Not loads like, but dropping a few quid on him to take out Povetkin.

          Man, he wasnt miles away.

There is definitely an alternate universe where he sparks out Pov and then AJ. Then seeking to finally gain revenge against an ancient Tony Thompson only to be predictably and ruthlessly rifled yet again.
