I told everyone he'd beat DeGale in the pros. And I stand by that. He would have been a great champion. Great raw talent and power.

I remember rushing out of a class last year to see his Olympic fight with Degale being beamed into the university that he attended also. Can't believe what has happened in a year.

Didn't he beat DeGale 4 times out of 5 in the amatuers?

Soon as I seen him fight pro, I knew he was a special talent.

He must of been really unhappy with life to commit suicide. maybe split with his girl? We may never know! I think he was set to fight in October too.

It must have been something like that. Maybe he suffered from depression, we may never know as you say. But for a man who had a very bright future in the sport he loved...I can't understand how he could do it. Knowing all that he was throwing away. I just can't get my head around it.

He must have been truly hurt to do it.

Yeah I think he was due to fight October.

It's such a shame cos his future really was bright. He was probaly the best prospect in Ireland and the UK. Him and Kell Brook would of been future stars in the world of Boxing.

maybe we will find out more tomorrow.

Truly awful news... really shocked by this. I was convinced he was destined for the very top of the sport. Very sad if the reports of suicide are true, we will wait and see. It goes to show there's only so much you see in the public eye and a lot that you don't.
