Rigondeaux won the fight, unfortunately the judges have enough leeway to exercise their blatant biases, ineptitude and contempt for the sport they purport to love. As for Gibbons, poor guy must be very upset by the whole thing, he’s still crying about it. Maybe he should focus on his promotions work, he could start with actually holding on to Casimero. What a mess. Anyhow, I know for sure Rigo ain’t losing any sleep over these clowns.

boxing "purists" who thinks a guy who runs and refuses to engage is masterclass in boxing, if this is the standard for a combat sport, it will have no future. Maybe these few "purist" nerds should pay Rigondeaux' entire next purse, because fans have no interest in seeing someone running the entire "fight".

For sure, the last Rigo fight was an outlier. Not sure what the strategy was there but there’s plenty who have enjoyed his fights. These ‘fans’ who attend fights only to see guys knocking lumps out of each other are under the misguided notion that they’re VIPs or something - somehow entitled to a certain standard of fight that they deem acceptable. Wise up, you take yours chances when you pay your money, quit crying about it because you’re disappointed. The boxers are the stars of the show, you’re just the scenery.
