'Nobody in the UK even knows that Josh Taylor is fighting Jack Catterall, how are shot Khan-Brook more valued by the British public than the prime 'undisputed' jr. welterweight champ? The Brits must see what I see, Josh Taylor is a jerk and got lucky.'

Silly comment. Taylor beat Progais & Ramirez over 12. How can he have 'got lucky' enough to beat quality guys over the distance? After Prograis, particularly &, to a lesser degree Ramirez, the public wants more big fights. Brutally, if Taylor v Catterall was free on C5 I might turn over & watch, if the good lady wife didn't want another programme, but I definitely wouldn't pay to watch that.

All the interest is in what Taylor says he'll do after he beats Catterall.

I'm from across the pond. I'm ignorant about the cultural history regarding your post, butI LOVE listening to Scottish and UK commentators in football or boxing. I especially miss Jim Watt's voice. Conversely I won't watch a football match hosted by a North American broadcasting team. It's like adding Orange Crush to a Belgian trappist ale.

Team GB squad, slick southpaw 16-0 Cori Gibbs, arguably has a better resume than Jack Catterall. Has Jack 'El Gato' Catteral ever won a prestigious 'BOXXER' tournament? I dont think so.

Anyway, what the hell you got against North American broadcasters, you British pansy-loving asswipe?

What, now you think you're too big to get the breakdown of the Manchester Red Devils Oh-fense in that hustle during the last quarter after a quick word from our sponsors?!!

Therefore, he gets timed quite easily by good fighters, and this is where Brook could get him after the first four rounds or so.'

Agree with this & with Balboa. Some boxers fall in love with their power. Khan has fallen helplessly in love with his handspeed so instead of throwing 2 shots & sliding off he stands flat-footed firing off combinations. At one point I really thought Amir could be special but he's never rectified this & I doubt he's going to at 35. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw bombs.

I'm not sure that Kell can punish him, however. When Kell lost to Spence he said he'd never fight at 147 again, it was so brutal, he was drained beyond human endurance. He achieved nothing at 154 & is now weighing in at 148.5. Add in 2 facial reconstructions & the man seems badly damaged. Despite the stoppage losses Amir seems less war-worn. He's never taken a horrible beating & he's never been out cold for the full 10. Also, Amir's never seen a $ he didn't like, & if he gets past Kell he'll make another fortune v Conor Benn. Benn's own people are keeping him as far away as possible from Ekow Essuman because they know if he fights Ekow Conor cops a worse hiding than Kurt Zouma's cat.

I see Amir dominating early, getting dropped in the middle rounds holding on to earn a UD. Kell retires. Khan v Benn on.

Great post man, esp. the cat bit at the end

Jack Catterall is the mandatory that Ramirez was supposed to take care of before he agreed to step aside for the unification to happen.
