  • Comments Thread For: Julio Cesar Martinez: After I Beat Chocolatito, I Can Move Back Down And Face Sunny Edwards

Julio Cesar Martinez couldn't pass up the opportunity of a lifetime even with unfinished business at flyweight. The goal of becoming undisputed champion in the 112-pound division is momentarily on hold for Mexico City's Martinez (18-1, 14KOs), whose next fight comes against one of the best little big men in boxing history. The reigning WBC flyweight titlist moves up in weight to face former four-division titlist Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez (50-3, 41KOs) atop the March 5 DAZN show from Pechanga Arena in San Diego.

I like Martinez, kid is very entertaining. I think he loses to Chocolatito, his defense is lacking and Chocolatito can punch. It will be a very fun fight while it lasts.

Some swagger by Martinez, but you know what? I think this may be the right moment for him to defeat Chocolatito.

Martinez brings it every time. Sunny "the runner" Edwards will get beat on the night.

If Gonzalez is anywhere close to what he was vs Estrada last time out I’m very confident he stops Martinez.

I like the bravado put forth by Martinez. I think he overwhelms Edwards should they fight. It's been a while since I've seen JCM in the ring but I recall his defense is a but careless. Provided Chocalito isn't shopworn this fight, I expect him to pick Martinez apart. Either way it will be an entertaining scrap.

I hope Rey Martinez doesn't waste his time with that loud mouth bum. Edwards has 17 fights with only 4 KO's

This smells of doubt. I don't like this frame of mind. If Martinez beats Choco, there's a ton of money without Charley. IF.

                  BASED.
He's delaying this merry-go-around between choco-estrada-rung and forcing them to fight others like Ioka or Ancajas

Hope Bam Rodriguez goes for unification and undisputed cos the three princesses refuse to do so and would rather just fight this endless rematchess
