If we are talking about size and size only, throw away weight classes, experience at higher weights, and skills then there is a bigger size difference in Pac/Cotto. We know Cotto typically weighs upwards of 155lbs (Pull's sig shows him at 159). Pac's hightest weght to date is around 146. We know JMM BEFORE putting on extra mass for this fight would weighin a litttle over 140lbs going by his last lightweight fight. Mayweather typically comes in the mid to high 140s. Granted something out of the norm can happen at the weigh ins but based on what we know it has to be Pac/Cotto.

Lets say Mayweather outweighs JMM by 5 pounds and Cotto outweighs Pacman by 10 pounds. Floyd has more of the weight advantage because of his skills
No, the size advantage plus the skill of Mayweather which is much higher than Cottos makes it a bigger mismatch from Cotto vs Pacquiao, where Pacquiao is only smaller, but is facing a bigger but limited opponent with 8 round stamina.

Weight is weight. Cotto has a greater weight advantage over Pacman, than Floyd does over JMM.

JMM is more skilled than Pacman. So weight shouldn't be an issue

Cotto's easliy the biggest of the 4.

I think the difference between him n Pac is alot bigger than Floyd n Marquez..

You can't fault a fighter for being more skilled.

This is a boring thread to me. Both Cotto and Floyd are fighting smaller fighters bottom line. Cotto deserves credit for who he has fought at 147, but he has been backed up by the three opponents who he doesn't have a size advantage against. I don't think Cotto would be able to compete at 154 or 160 because he would get slaughtered by Kirkland and maybe even Angulo (if he's not sick). Floyd is afraid to test himself against bigger opponents besides De La Hoya and Baldomir. Corrales was weight drained and Castillo beat him in the first fight. Who has Floyd fought that has outweighed him by that much?

Gatti, Mitchell, Nduo, Corley, Judah, and now JMM are not Welterweights. Floyd hasn't fought a skilled Welterweight and yet he has been considered as the Welterweight champion. That picture is not right to me. Floyd has never moved up and fought bigger guys like his fans lead you to believe. The only ones are Castillo and De La Hoya as mentioned before. And he went life and death with Castillo and didn't beat Oscar all that impressively. He's never done what JMM is going to do, which is move up significantly and fight a noteably bigger opponent.

Tue, but you can definitely fault him for choosing an opponent he knows he beats in ever physical and skill category and THEN even trying to increase the disadvantages.

really? If we're talking about biggest size difference. Mayweather has fought all the way at 154 while Marquez has fought at 135. Pacquiao has fought at 142 while Cotto has fought at 147. So there you go
