i was gonna go with RJJ but i consider him more athletic than skilled. with that said, i'll go with the obvious Mayweather Jr. he's hands down the most skilled boxer to date.

If were talking skill alone, Id pick Nicolino Locche.

the guy didnt even attempt to train for his fights and used to smoke ciggarettes inbetween rounds in his boxing matches. He had little natural power or speed, and crappy stamina. yet would dominate people anyway just with his boxing prowess.

now THAT...is skill. I think guys like Roy Jones, Ray Leonard and even Mayweather and Whitaker fall back a lot on their physical attributes...in other words, without their quickness, they wouldnt be near as good.

but someone like Locche who had no athletic ability? hes gotta be getting by on something, and it has to be skill.
