Canelo Haters Switch Up So Fast

This shiii had me confused. I remember when everyone was calling Canelo to fight "pure boxers". He's fought 2 pure boxers in a row. Now, it's likely he'll be fighting Bivol next. Now, he's fighting another pure boxer, mind you everyone talked about how much he struggles with them. Now, everyone wants him to fight guys who can **** (Beterbiev, and Benavidez). Real fight fans know, that the fighter who gives Canelo the most trouble right now, is Bivol. Beterbiev and Benavidez are too open to trade shot for shot with Canelo.

I'll be honest, I'll be suprised if Canelo fights Bivol next, but if he does....give this man his respect, win, lose, or draw. A win against Bivol or Beterbiev puts him relatively high on the ATG list imo. These Canelo haters, can't except the fact that we witnessing a great fighter in his prime, fighting guys that are in their prime. Regardless of what some people say Canelo fought: Trout, Lara, Jacobs, GGG, Callum Smith, BJS, and Caleb Plant in their prime. All but two of those guys were undefeated at the time. A win against an undefeated Bivol, Beterbiev, or Benavidez makes this man an ATG for sure.

there are a few top guys in line for nelo, all of them are good, bivol is a good opponent for him, same with charlo, benavidez and the other b, personally would prefer the other b as his power is good and hes getting older and will soon be gone im sure, but cant complain with bivol either or any of them actually, all good really

I think people are just happy that he's finally fighting someone who has a chance of winning. Let's just hope there's no unfair advantages hidden in the contract like stipulations and clauses that allow canelo to use anabolic steroids.

He's finally doing what the p4p king Terence Crawford did when he took on Shawn Porter and if he wins in spectacular fashion can be a p4p king too.

Unfair advantages? Canelo has been at a disadvantage at 168. Fighting a guy like 6'3, 6'4 gave Canelo the advantage, right? I think your "unfair advantages" has to do with the infamous "Canelo gift decisions/scorecards". For example, terrible scorecard against GGG in the first fight. I can agree that GGG probably edged out the w. And the scorecard he got was ridiculous. But, Andre Ward also was given a gift decision against Kovalev. All great fighters have close fights or fights many people thought they lost yet still got the nod. Canelo showed in the second fight against GGG that he was the superior fighter. Once Terence Crawford fights a solid prime fighter at 147, we'll see him potentially given a gift decision. It happens to every great fighter.

          P.S. it's crazy to call TC pfp 1. He's definitely #2, but not 1

I'm not talking about weight or height, I'm talking about stuff that canelo puts in the contract to weaken his opponents, stuff like catchweight, rehydration clauses, clauses that allow him to use steroids but drugs test the opponent, he picks the gloves, ring size, rehydration clauses. Because people are desperate for money they allow it, like GGG, if he had an ounce of integrity he would have said I refuse to fight a steroid cheat. Or I will only fight you if you agree to allow police to monitor your gym even day and search your house/reynoso's house for PEDs randomly.

Terence Crawford has to be #1 p4p. Never failed a drug test, never hand picked one single opponent, fought exactly who the haters wanted him to fight, moved up to chase after the smoke (spence), never won a fight with controversy, has dozens of dominating wins over top 5 opponents in his weight class, undisputed in a division that he didn't hand pick, undefeated, no draws, no controversial wins, never uses stipulations or catchweigghts or rehydration clauses, never once asked an opponent for an unfair advantage to make harder for the opponent to win.

Well...I see nothing wrong with that. That's exactly what Mayweather, Pacquiao, and really all the recent greats have done. They worked their @ss off to get into the position to be A-side. When you're A-side you get to choose almost everything. Plus, like you said, these guys agree to the terms and conditions. We can't be mad at Canelo if his opponents are okay with his choices. Also, let's not forget that Canelo was drained down to 152 against Mayweather. Now, the steroid scandal, I don't have anything to say to defend Canelo, as that's straight up f'd up. But, we should look at the fact that he hasn't personally been caught using PEDs since. Now, if you say that you put TC pfp #1 because he hasn't been caught using PEDs then that's understandable. It's hard to give Canelo and honest ranking considering his history. But, if you're ranking off of pure accomplishments, then you have to give it to Canelo.

I don't support Mayweather or Pacquiao either because of that. What they do is wrong and morally corrupt. Them and Canelo didn't earn the right to do that ****, there's no other sport where that's acceptable. Tom Brady, Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, they didn't become great by hand picking their opponents, getting home field advantage every game, and putting their opponents at disadvantages. The only thing you earn by winning is more money and fame. But every year you still have to prove yourself on an EQUAL playing field.

As fo p4p, I already said Canelo will be #1 on my list if he beats Bivol w no controversy.

He’s reached Mayweather territory, no matter who he fights he’ll be criticized by blind haters. But he’s racking up an all time resume.
