I didn’t think the fight was fixed at all
But I was shouting on this forum that the fight wouldn’t go over 5 rounds
Canelo would take his head off and quite easily
If anything Canelo carried him throughout the fight probably worried about Kovi’s power

How? Canelo was getting outboxed by GGG, a faded version of Kovalev, and Plant. Bivol is a better boxer than all off them, the only question is his chin, if he doest have the chin I could see him getting KOd in the later rounds being up on the scorecards.

Unless Bivol fights to the level of his competition, I don't see anything special in him that will give Canelo issues. Canelo will lose a few rounds and end up stopping him like all these other non elite fighters he fights. GGG was an Elite level guy and had a jab and power that could keep Canelo honest, I just don't think Bivol is anything close to the level of either GGG or Canelo.

He's fought much better opposition than GGG ever has (Smith, Pascal, Chilemba, Barrera), and besides getting buzzed w like 2 seconds to go in round 10 vs Smith, he's pretty much looked flawless in all those fights.

Bivols chin isnt a question mark, he took a big punch from smith and was wobbled but recovered during the break.
What we do now is that he really doesnt like to get hit. Since that fight he has become extremely safety first and uses his range control and boxing to just outbox opponents.
he doesnt force anything. If the KO naturally comes, so be it, but he wont chase after one.

Canelo is still troubled with longer fighters who can move but each of the past guy had one thing in common, they fade pretty badly. Kovalev, BJS and plant all visibly tire in the second half and become much sloppier and hold their feet more often which allows canelo to turn it up a notch and take them out. Canelo has become very good at pacing. He forces his opponents to work a lot to keep him off, while he doesnt expand as much energy (thanks to his sharp punch placement), makes sure that his opponent always leave the round significantly more tired than him.

I do think bivol shows better stamina than the past guys but he doesnt come across as a very durable fighter. Might not be able to take the heat in the second half. He also doesnt rely on clinching which keeps him from slowing down the pace.

GGG fought the #1 P4P fighter in the world so how has he fought better opposition? And most people thought he won the 1st fight at least

I mean GGG's resume going into the Canelo fight vs Bivol going into the canelo fight. Bivol fought much better comp and looked a lot better doing it. Completely master classed Smith and Pascal, pieced them up and hardly ever got hit.

I like Bivol and I think he can make it interesting but he's not more skilled than canelo nor is he a better boxer than Kova and Plant but he is bigger naturally.

Canelo will win competitive but clear decision.
