Third fight had merit right after the rematch or at the most 2 fights later. But Saul cried cause G called him out for poppin dirty. Ginger won the 2nd fight and his response was to age him out. Granted, G did himself no favors by being inactive, but this fight is garbage at this point.
Charlo and Benavidez are the fights Id rather see.Comment

100%. GGG stans would be like ‘Waited until he was old and shot to fight him a 3rd time to make sure he could win’.
End of the day, apart from the Canelo fights GGG never really challenged himself, stuck rigidly to his weight class despite there being lots of good fights and some potential career defining ones at 168 and above. So his resume is just that, solid but unspectacular and he doesn’t even have a single signature win.Comment

If GGG fought the same bigger guys Nelo has, GGG fans would be pounding on their chests yelling ''And what

People crying about GGG centering his career around Canelo like it is a bad thing to get as much $$$ as you can during your career.
Boxing fans want fighters to retire brain damaged and broke fighting killers for their entertainment.
Why don't you get in the ring instead of complaining about how fighters maximizing earnings potential and manage their careers.Comment

Problem is you didn't bother watching GGGs career. He was roundly ducked by Sturm and Cotto, came into the top tier a bit too late for Martinez but beta the best of the rest in Proksa, Macklin, Murray, Geale (who had beaten Sturm) and Lemeiux when he was a live contender. GGG wiped out most of those names I just mentioned, so he wa sshowing he was levels above those guys. Who could he have fought that he didn't?I like GGG as a fighter but that's my only knock on him is that his career (like most of these other guys) is centered on Canelo. Since that first fight he hasn't really done a darn thing, the only test he's had since was DV (a fight I thought he was outworked in). I think he would have whooped both Charlo and Andrade, unfortunately he didn't want to be bothered with challenging himself
Then when it came to fighting Canelo, he soundly outboxed him to such an extent, Canleo's own fans booed the decision. GGG is the best middleweight of his generation bar none.Comment

I'd be cool with a third GGG fight, I think he loses but he's given Canelo the toughest fights of his career and I'm sure a third fight won't be easy. It's better than Canelo's last few fights yet people seemed happy with Plant and Smith as opponents. GGG was a better and more challenging opponent and the fights were closer and more entertaining - I believe that would be the case in third fight.
With all potential opponents being mentioned, Bivol is the most interesting to me and the one I'd like to see the most yet people seem mad at that prospect too?! I wonder if it's Canelo fanboys not wanting to see him in tough fights?Comment
