No matter what Canelo does there will be haters and naysayers it's ridiculous. It's amazing to think if he fought Bivol some people would have whinge. Canelo is making history sit back and enjoy the ride.

Yes, sadly true about the naysayers. Whoever he fights, it will be why not x, y or z instead.

A couple of days ago when there was talk of a Charlo fight, I read a comment from someone saying Canelo was cherrypicking a lighter fighter. Now that it might be Bivol, Charlo is being ducked. For years people have been slamming Canelo for fighting Kovalev -- why not any of the other top fighers at light heavy? Now Bivol is too boring.

If Bivol happens, it is a very credible opponent. He's longer, very good technically and cautious.

GGG is less interesting just because GGG truly is the other side of the hill now. But it's obvious that it's DAZN that is pushing for it and understandable why. Less interesting, but not uninteresting because of the history between them and how close those fights were.

My top 2 preferences would be Beterbiev or Benavidez, and while neither seem to be on Canelo radar likely because of the threat they pose, a fight with Bivol can’t be dismissed as an easy fight or cherry pick. I’ll believe it when I see it though because canelo used bivols name a few months ago to try and pull leverage with haymon in his negotiations with plant. Hopefully the same trick isn’t happening now.

Charlo, Andrade and Benavidez need to fight eachother to "claim next" in 2023.

GGG will be like 42 by the time they fight assuming no more lockdowns etc. What a dumb roadmap.

Bivol and Charlo arguably has a better chance then Beterbiev, he's very rudimentary, easy to hit and has shown he can easily be outboxed and dropped by non punchers like Jeff Page JR, he's food for Canelo.

I'd much rather Bivol and Betterbiev. GGG has shown his age while Canelo hasn't lost a step.

*very rudimentary* lmfao Beterbiev outboxing Gvozdyk (the best boxer at LHW at the time) says otherwise. Not to mention that knock down, lasted as quickly as a blink. But please tell me what happened in r2 of the Jeff Page fight. Charlo would get knocked out the dude never even seen an elite fight.

I would rather see Canelo vs Benavitez. Not saying that I think Benavitez would win. I just think he would pose the greatest physical challenge to Canelo. He’s someone that’s physical enough to push Canelo back. I think Canelo realizes this and won’t push that fight. Especially since Canelo like his opponents to have titles these days.

Still can’t complain too much. Pretty much all of the guys being mentioned are credible opposition. Even GGG, although now much older, at least had success before against Canelo. More so than anyone else as of recent.

Looks like it's Bivol and GGG.
