Even Tris Dixon and John Dennen had Jacobs rightly winning.

In hindsight, all was set for Ryder to break his negative "I was robbed" spell. Jacobs' lack of urgency in the second half made the task easier.

Anyhow, Jacobs is finished as far as top level is concerned.

I always think about Jacobs as a boxer, who thinks he is better than he is, which costs him in some close moments. I also find him arrogant, but that is maybe because of what he said to Rosado after that bad announcement at the end of their match, which somehow stayed with me.

For this match, I had Ryder winning first two close rounds so I didn't see it was all Jacobs for the first six. It wasn't some dominant performance in the first half IMO.

Correct. But, at the same time, Ryder didn't win more than three rounds of the second half. I could sit easier with a draw perhaps, but I do believe - as a neutral observer - that Ryder just didn't do enough to earn a decision.

It is OK. Sometimes it's hard to gauge the match correctly and for today I saw it as I saw it, maybe tomorrow it will be different. I saw three clear round to Ryder in the second half and some of them close.
I try not to dwell on it too much as lots of time the scoring in boxing is subjective. So thanks for the discussion and good luck with next Pick Ems
