But is that really how judges score it or how they are supposed to score it? Perhaps you are giving them too much credit. As I recall, I don't see sound cancelling apparatus on judges ears most of the time so they will hear and potentially be affected by crowd noise. Additionally, I've been close enough to judges ringside at fights to see that maybe they aren't always paying as close attention as they should.
If we are going into details of realism, shouldn't the promoter of the fight also be paying for me to watch it (even tho I'm on my couch), as well as the food and drink I'm eating before/after the fight (in my case a few glasses of wine or beer and some snacks)? I wonder if that would change how exactly I see the fight playing out before me (even if subconsciously).
