Comments Thread For: Errol Spence-Yordenis Ugas Official For April 16 At AT&T Stadium, Pay-Per-View

Errol Spence Jr. confirmed the worst-kept secret on the upcoming boxing schedule Tuesday morning. The unbeaten IBF/WBC welterweight champion confirmed through his Twitter and Instagram accounts that his title unification fight against Yordenis Ugas is set for April 16 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Spence, 31, was raised in nearby DeSoto, Texas, and has beaten Mikey Garcia and Danny Garcia in pay-per-per-view main events at the home stadium of his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

I really hope Spence doesn't pull out for another medical reasons. He looked good against Danny in his comeback fight but he has not fought for a while and it is apparent that the accident took something from him.

They will be some, even with all of Spence's injuries and layoff he could had faced a lesser opponent.

Spence out here unifying the welterweight division while Canelo is looking to cherrypick a 160lber in Charlo who looked awful on his last fight. Levels.

The great Nash loves this fight. We all saw what Ugas did to prime Pacquiao. Yes, prime Pacquaio, coming into the fight fresh off the best win of his career over Keith "Third Person" Thurman, but of course, cos Pac lost he would be passed off as past prime. Ugas was all wrong for Pac, that's all. I think Spence takes this by Late KO with the scores close. If Ugas is to win this, it will have to be on points as Spence's chin is second to none. Flying out of a car at full speed couldn't put him away, never mind a punch. Nash out.

My man do go jinxing it. I just texted my son about the fight, with the caveat, "...assuming no covid"

That effing Covid has ruined fights, momentum of some fighters, etc.

FOX PPV? So we have to hear Brian Kenny and Lennox Lewis? SMH! I hope FOX gets out of the game ASAP.

Butaev vs Stanionis will be on the undercard as well as Isaac Cruz vs Gamboa or Roman. Don't care for either of those fights but the top two fights of the card are really good.

Can't argue with that chin comment. Spence is Unbreakable like Bruce Willis, except instead of the weakness to water, his weakness are his retinae.
