    That's your opinion.

Expect him to get the lions share of the publicity too.
Well yes, Matchroom is the lead promoter of the event, Most Valuable Promotion is secondary.

Which is smart on Hearns part because it will draw some eyes.
Well Matchroom has more experiencing promoting boxing events for several years now...Most Valuable Promotion has only promoted 2 boxing events in their entire existence so yes, it's smart for Matchroom to take the lead.

Wow, you obviously do not follow the sport closely.
    I'm a diehard fan, actually.

Here you go, again. Doing your work for you: Inspired by Stevenson’s suggestion on Twitter this week, Markowski promised during an interview with BoxingScene.com that Taylor-Serrano will start in plenty of time for it to end before Valdez-Stevenson starts.
I saw all of Markowski interviews (he gave numerous interviews over the past couple of days) and he said that they will try. He never said that they would.

And on aside, he can't really promise that because they are no way to control how long fights go.

    Also Valdez has indeed signed.
No he hasn't, stop capping. But prove me wrong, post the link or Boxingscene article saying that the fight has been signed.

Look, at the end of the day that is the fight most boxing fans will watch it's facts,
    Diehards males, yes.

    Huh?!?!? English, my friend...English!

Honestly, I can almost guarantee that the majority of die hard boxing fans will be prioritize the Valdez/Stevenson fight over the women. Eddie may be right that the womens event will have more media coverage and it makes sense, but it doesn’t mean that more people will watch that on TV over Oscar/Shakur… I can’t wait for the Super featherweight unification between two in their prime undefeated fighters!!!

Arums gonna get a lot of heat for what he said and he Top Ranks PR should be on his ass letting this old man know what he should and shouldn’t say, but he’s not wrong. Womens boxing typically doesn’t do the numbers that mens do, but this is a pretty big one and womens boxing has been gaining steam so we’ll see.

Just like another poster stated. Sexy sports like volleyball, tennis, gymnastics, these sports do well for women because the women look good. They look sexy. Women boxing look like brutes. That, and the general genetics required for boxing just doesn’t bode well for women like they do for gymnastics.

Gymnastics requires small, petite, flexible bodies. PERFECT for women! Boxing requires a lot of power and muscle. BAD for women! It’s not even being sexist. This is just grounded in science and genetics.
You seem to like watching gymnastics for some strange reasons... a sport where they train women to look like very young girls. In fact, many of them are still very young girls.

          Mate, that's very dubious.

You've got the internet. Why get your jollies watching gymnastics? Go watch a bit of blue.

Diehard only will watch Valdez/Shakur while some diehards (like myself) and CASUALS will watch Taylor/Serrano...hence more eyeballs will be on the woman's fight than the two males fighting.

Let's ne honest here, Valdez/Stevenson would not full up the Garden or break pre-sale records.

Well Stevenson has said that Valdez has NOT signed & I tend to believe Shakur over Oscar because Stevenson has been begging for this fight more than Oscar has but either way...someone is lying & the fight hasn't been announced yet.

Never said I like to watch women gymnastics. Please show me where I said that. I was just piggybacking off of what someone already stated in a previous post. That women gymnastics, tennis, and volleyball are more popular sports for women than boxing for a couple of reasons. One, because they’re dressed up better. They just look more appealing. And two, because their genetics are better suited for those sports than they are for boxing. That’s all I stated. Women can still box that’s fine. They just aren’t gonna look as good because they don’t possess the power and athletic make up for a sport like boxing.

Yes the old sexist arguement. Bet you love the ol' victim card as well. People are showing you proof and you refute with no proof of your own, so where do you go? Calling people who are shutting your argument down sexist. Nevermind the fact that men's boxing is 99% more entertaining. Nothing against women but when was the last time fight of the year was given to women? Guess facts and honesty are sexist now. I'm done with your nonsense.
