No way Crawford takes this fight. At least not for what Haymon would be willing to pay him.
At his age Crawford doesn’t have much time left to get the big legacy fights.
Thurman would be a good name for him. Ideally it would be Thurman/Crawford and Spence/Ugas to set up a big fight this fall but I don’t think Crawford is realistic on what he would accept to make it happen quickly.
The fact that it’s been a few months and he still doesn’t have a deal with a promoter or free agent deal even being rumored should let him know where he’s at.
Canelo had a deal done with DAZN within days of splitting with Golden Boy.

The problem is none of these fighters have realistic expectations. One Time thinks he's still worth $5 million per fight or better when in reality it's more like $1.5. I doubt he comes home with anything above $1mil after this weekends fight. TC deserves 65/35 but Thurman wants 50/50.

Nope Ugas would whoop his behind. Ugas fought Pac injured and look at what he did. Thurman is not safe he needs to price himself out of fights and make cheesy videos to stay relevant amongst what's left of his fans

I saw shades of the old 2012-2013 Thurman this weekend but my mans is looking kinda old in the face nowadays. He's still vulnerable to the body and I believe that's where Crawford and Spence may edge him.

The thing is, Thurman knows how to survive being hit to the body and has shown that over the years...not sure if that's a good trait or what, but he seems to have owned the fact that he's vulnerable to the body and knows what to do get through it.

Against Bud and Ej he won't survive. Both are wicked body punchers. I know Bud stops him. Ej should stop him but I wouldn't be completely surprised if he beat him up enough to secure a UD

Crawford is said by some to ask for too much in negotiations, but in this case, until the other night, Keith hadn't boxed in years. He can't expect 50/50 split against Bud just based on his name and status from years ago, that would be ridiculous and disrespectful

The problem is Thurman wanting to go straight from fighting Barrios (a literal nobody at 147) straight to a title fight.

IF he beats someone in the top 10 convincingly, perhaps there will be demand to see him challenge for a title. He's been out of the picture too long, and the fight against Barrios doesn't really offer any good way to gauge where he is at right now. He definitely needs to fight (and beat) a Top-10 contender and then he will have some legitimacy in demanding a shot at a strap.
